A dejavu is when you imagine that you saw something for two times

example,,, if you're at a restuarant with your friends, you could suddenly feel that you had the same plot before with the same food and the same people, as if you saw it in a dream..Dont get so excited, cos you're not psychic, and it never happened before

it's just that the eye sends the vision signals back to your brain with a lil bit of delay, so your brain makes you "imagine" that this exact same plot happened before

.

The term "déjà vu" (French for "already seen", also called paramnesia) describes the experience of feeling that one has witnessed or experienced a new situation previously.

The experience of déjà vu is usually accompanied by a compelling sense of familiarity, and also a sense of "eerieness", "strangeness", or "weirdness". The "previous" experience is most frequently attributed to a dream, although in some cases there is a firm sense that the experience "genuinely happened" in the past. Déjà vu has been described as "Remembering the future".

References to the experience of déjà vu are also found in literature of the past, indicating it is not a new phenomenon. The experience of déjà vu seems to be very common; in formal studies 70% or more of the population report having experienced it at least once.

it is spelt deja vu.

Scientifically speaking, it is when the brain misfires and makes you believe you have seen something before. Usually it is like a particular sentence or a particular scene on the tv.

Spiritually speaking, it is when you feel you have experienced something before in a prior life, or that you have had prior warning of the coming event.

Your choice of definition.

It's déjà vu, and it refers to the situation where you suddenly feel you're experiencing something that you've already experienced before. The etymology is self-explanatory. It's French for "already seen".
