my wifes family has pigs.. well that should be had as they killed them last week... they feed them left overs and apples and alsorts.. i am veggie but my wife says the sausages, salami, and hams are delicious... i'll take her word for it!

actually if you have a brewery nearby you can check if they don't have any brewing remains. The remaining grains are verry nutricious and the remaining liquid will keep the piggy from performing too much action since he basically get's drunk. Nice juicy pork. This is what most farmers did before the start of commercial pigs food.

I'm not to sure about this answer but I think you can feed a pig pretty much anything and still get alot of pork.Unless you have one of those new fangled pigs that produces beef or poultry.

I read a few years ago, that when a pig reaches a certain weight it stops being pork and becomes ham and bacon, which then obviously has to be cured. Good luck..

Oh, and inject them with pig-life threatening hormones to make them grow.
And its illegal ( in the UK ) to feed pigs kitchen scraps. Even from a veggie kitchen !
Yes, its true. I can no longer open my farmhouse kitchen door and give a pig a piece of carrot.........DEFRA...do they have any use ?

Fatten up with corn! Aside from that.... all of your table scraps. I'm not an expert....but there are probably some foods you shouldn't give to them.... Pork being one of them! Geez.....some people.... lol....
