There is no soul!!! The soul was a word that was made to fill in the blank between people dying -> living after death. It's the only connection we could make with the limited knowledge of the "after-life".

Even if there is a connection between death and after-life, it won't be a SPIRIT that floats around aimlessly. It will be more complicated then that, so to say what happens to the soul, is irrelevant because we still don't know what a soul is.

Our 'souls' are us, living breathing.
The word ' soul' is translated from the Hebrew word NEPHESH which means 'that which breathes".
And (Ezekiel 18:4) Look! All the souls—to me they belong. As the soul of the father so likewise the soul of the son—to me they belong. The soul that is sinning—it itself will die.
IF the 'soul' were immortal [ which it is NOT] this scripture would be a lie. but its in the Bible, so it must be true.
when Adam was created, the Bible says nothing about him being given a 'separate' SOUL. Genesis call all living creatures...living souls.

There are many books out there on this subject. A good book that was given to me by a Social Worker from Hospice is Final Gifts. You can talk to many people in the medical field and they can tell you of many occurrences that just can't be explained. When my mother was dying, she said my brother was in construction now. Her brother who had died a few months before her had come with their sister to visit her in the hospital. She didn't realize they were both dead. I asked her about her older brother, and she knew he was and looked at me like I was nuts when I asked her if she had seen him. Just hours before she died, (she hadn't been able to talk for 2 days, she was incoherent), she looked as though she was talking and laughing with someone above her. I do believe we do go back to heaven where we were before being born. I am not so sure about reincarnation, but I don't rule that out either. Too many people have had strange dejavoo's and knowing things they shouldn't. Like going somewhere they never have been and knowing exactly where everything is.

Nothing and Nowhere! There is nothing called soul and it is simply an energy which begins with the heart bit of mother and remains alive till heart runs.

Similarly in a car, when you are igniting it starts getting energy from combustion of fuel and runs till you switch off.

God surely knows, and you may know about the condition of your own soul.
I am not sure about my soul, but I am trying my best to enable it to attain the good pleasure of the One True God in the spiritual world by doing His Will every day. The mentioning of His Name right now in also for that purpose.

I am sorry if it wounds you but I have to inform you. One does not have a soul. It is just an invention to explain their invention of eternal life. Its just a cycle of inventing one thing to justify another. The problem they have now is there are so many inventions relying on figments of their imagination it is beginning to fall apart on them and people of intelligence are beginning to catch on. OO

First,I wanted to say that this question you asked,is the quesion of life!and i think its the one question that never will be answerd,in the life time.

2nd,But as think that,it depends on what you beleive in,
if you beleive in karma, you would get your new body, and have a new life/
if you are believing christianity beleives, you would get the heven or hell
if you beleive in moslem beleives you would go to the "barzakh" till they ask you the question,
if you .....

I just think it depend on your beleive
