There is no real "cure" for stuttering. People can become more fluent and not stutter after having speech therapy, but the stuttering may come back at certain times such as stressful times. The things you learned in therapy should be practiced to maintain your fluency. The Stuttering Foundation of America has a great book "Self Therapy for the Stutterer" that is aimed at adults who either can't afford a therapist or for those who need to go through the steps again. Buy your own copy to keep on hand whenever you need it.

I read that Lester Hayes (N.F.L. player) worked with a speech pathologist (Dr. Lillian Glass of Beverly Hills, CA) to help control his stuttering. Her program was such a success that he accepted several public speaking roles. I don't know if he was cured but he greatly improved the way he speaks. Check out her book "Talk to Win" 6 Steps to a Successful Vocal Image. Good luck!

human beings have approximately 3 billion base pairs of DNA. an excellent sort of it relatively is conserved or you does no longer have the skill to digest your foodstuff, make bones, brains... you realize each and all the straight forward stuff. Then there is stuff like pores and skin colour (many many genes make contributions to that i think of), eye colour, hair colour. there are various diverse genes for those. and there is the possibility for random mutations, you realize, injuries in replication. Then there is a superb sort of stuff that doesn't code for something mandatory. they are in a position to alter the main normally because of the fact there's no longer something forcing them to be a similar between diverse human beings. i think of that it is what DNA use to identity diverse human beings. On appropriate of that, whilst cells undergo meiosis they recombine and redistribute the genetic textile. relatively they shuffle the deck. ok, so which you have those form of diverse layers of genetic necessity and you have all of it shuffled around with tips from the two egg and sperm. So, is it obtainable? purely such as you're saying, particular that's obtainable, notwithstanding that's especially no longer likely. How no longer likely. i'm no longer able to calculate it, yet i assume that interior the background of human evolution it has on no account happened on a similar time as quickly as. See if anybody can calculate the possibility for you (they ought to describe their assumptions so which you will examine their answer with different solutions).

You sure can be treated and the treatment is within yourself. You need to be confident and have no concern on how others take your speech. Stuttering will slowly reduce over a period of time.

Try speaking to yourself in front of mirror and secondly, speak slowly. Remember to breath in while speaking.
