It is toungue tied. Have the baby's toungue cliped. It is a procedure which the doctor can do in the office. It will help the child in the long run. My 8 year old daughter was toungue tied and we followed the advice of our pediatrician at the time and thought she woudl grow out of it --- she did not. She ended up with language problems and had to get it cliped at a much older age. With my econd child, I insisted that she have her flang clipped (it is called a flangectomy if I remember correctly). I held my daughter while the doctor cut the flang in the office. The doctor said that it was not necessary, but it would not hurt either (except immediately of course). Err on the side of caution and have the procedure done. It very well may save your child from speech developmental difficulties when the child is older.

Its called tongue tie and nothing to worry about. Its a minor operation that can rectify it. Consult doctor and know about the suitable age for orepating.

Have it clipped as soon as possible. Its hard for the baby to suck when it is tongue tied. Also it delays them talking correctly.

'Tongue-tied' I think.
Obviously it's not a technical term.
