I work in a baby shop (see link) so am very familiar with the Bugaboo (the owner won't stock any Mamas & Papas goods)
Although pricey, the Bugaboo is extremely practical, versatile & most of all LIGHTWEIGHT. The choice of colours for the Chameleon are vast and you can mix & match. The Ghecko comes in just 3 colours.
Another one to look at is the Mutsy 4 Rider Lightweight, this is my favourite, this has a lie flat car seat (although it can be used with the maxi cosi too) which can also double as a carry cot if you want to keep expense down.
Do some research on the 'net and look at user reviews.
Another popular one is the Loola by Dorel/Bebe Confort.
Going by customer feedabck, you cant go far wrong with Bugaboo or Mutsy.
N.B Car seats should not be used in place of pushchair or pram as a baby shouldn't be left in one for more than 2 and a half hours. (unless they are lie flat ones)

I have a mamas and papas pilko pramette pram and i think its quite good. It converts lots of different ways eg into a pram for younger baby and now my baby is sitting up its a pushchair. I havent really got a clue what bugaboos are like but i know they are alot more expensive. Guess it all depends on what you can afford and your taste.

I love the Bugaboo but after watching a program last year featuring it on BBC ( it was a program about showing people a cheaper alternative) it put me off getting it. The people who had it had a bigish car and struggled to fit it into the boot. Whilst it is lightweight and really lovely they also found it didn't handle very well when walking in the counrty. Also personally I find the body of the pram and pushchair to be very small. My eldest would never have fitted into it! I dont know which is the best, they all have so many good features but do shop around fold them and push them in the shop so you can gauge how big they will be and ease of use.

Graco do a wide range of different prams, and they have a very good reputation. i had a 3 in 1 travel system for my son. it had a car seat / carry chair, which clipped onto the pushchair part so that it could be used as a pram, and when he was older i just used the pushchair part of it. i had no problems at all with it, it was very robust, and u can get them in a variety of colours. if i were u, i'd shop online. at least that way u will get a good price, and it will get delivered to your door. you might also be able to find a website that rates things like that, so u can see what other people think of the product.

depends what your after.if its just a pram anyone will do as long as its sturdy
will you be needing a car seat? then you will need a three in one which converts from a pram to pushchair and includes car seat
or you can get a 2-1 which converts from a pram to pushchair
as long as its sturdy and comfortable and suits your needs and preferably new if second hand need a new mattress
anyone will do.
no good paying over 400 for a pram if not going to use it much?

I'm sorry to say that i'm in the same boat as yourself. I've been looking at the GRACO range. Don't know whether to go for the 3 wheeler or 4 wheeler range. Try out some pram or nursery shops as its better to test these out for height and weight and comfort for the little one. That's what i'm doing at the minute. Good Luck!

Have a Mama's and Papas, 3 wheel sport I think its called,(cost about £170) with swivel and fixed position front wheel, its brilliant baby sleeps in it when we are out. If you plan to do anything other than shopping with it get one with big wheels, this way you can simply ride the bumps rather than get stuck in them. If you have access to a child take them to a big store and take em for a ride to find out if you like it.
