I think a pathologist would be able to spell research! Anyway to answer your question, Im quite happy for my body to be used for medical research as long as they bury the bits they dont want;
I carry a donor card for my organs to be used and that the rest can be used for the futhering of medical knowledge;

I know its stupid but I do feel a bit funny about it. self conscious about the people researching me. Worried they will not treat my body with respect, like using my head as a football or something. (trust me it happens)

Having said that, I do think that it is incredibly useful, and I'd like to think of myself as the type of person that would help modern medicine progress.

I do carry a Donor card that lets everything including my eyes be taken. However it wasn't until after signing up, that a friend told me that, I'm most likely going to be used for medical research than to help a sick person.

Now that I am signed up though, I'm not going to change it. Yet I doubt I would ever have chose to do so if I'd known all about it at the time.

I think quite a few people don't mind leaving their bodies for medical research. I'm worried about your spelling though, as you might need to improve this for a medical career.

I don't mind it at all... If it wasn't for other people giving their bodies for medical research then I wouldn't be here now as I've got HOdgkin's Lymphoma. So i would like to think my experience can help others so long as it's done in a respectful way- if there is one!

As I don't believe in afterlife I have no objections to my body being used for research (once I'm dead!) especially if it results in a break through in curing some disease. My sister died of a brain tumour and gave her body to medical science. If nooone did it then we would have far less cures available now.

Not fussed either way.

PS If you're a pathologist then I'm a brain surgeon. And I can spell.

I would not mind. It is just a shell for the soul and the soul leaves the body when you die. If it would help cure diabetes (Which I have) I would be happy to do so.

Well, I'm assuming you mean after I'm dead...

Yes science can have my body, I won't need it anymore (I don't believe in any religion, when I die, that's it). Though I'd rather have it that my organs go to people who need them first .

If you mean when I'm alive... No way, I'm using it and I was here first!

If you were a pathologist you would be able to spell and you would not need to ask this question. You'd have all relevant information.
