Most of the answerers here are correct. But you are also. I think this whole illegal issue is just giving an excuse for people to bash mexicans and rant and rave racial slurs about them. But the fact of the matter is, yes, they are illegal and yes it is a crime. I wouldn't put it up there with shooting them-we need to kill the natural born killers in the U.S. first. But, they need to come here legally. They need to learn english. It's wonderful to be proud of the heritage and to speak Spanish-it's a beautiful language-but when you come into the states, English needs to be learned and also to adopt the American ways. Good luck chica!

You're very delusional by saying that you want an American deported from their homeland for any crime they commit here at home in the US. Where is your intelligence or common sense with your remarks being made. If Americans break a crime in the US, they will go to jail HERE in the US. Anyone entering any country not just America, will be illegal for entering a country undocumented, you are just lucky its America that your boyfriend or whoever is in, try doing that in some other no nonsense Country, that don't depart, but beat and jail these illegals for breaking their entry laws, be thankful that this is America, and we are only saying get yourself or whoever legal...and stop whining

Yeah, yeah, yeah...we're all a bunch of Mexican bashers. It's funny how if you're an illegal immigrant and get into trouble we send you back to wherever you came from but not before the Catholic Carities and The United Way setting up funds to help you. If you're an American and commit a crime in Mexico, you're going to be there for a while. Speaking of illegal immigrants commiting crimes in the US, read the links below.

wow i almost gave up on hearing other Americans speak my thoughts, i think that illegals dont deserve to be Americans .u have to earn that privilege, our four fathers lived, blead and died for it. not sneaking over a fence and stealing someones SS number.Proximity doesn't make u an American just because Ur sucking up the same air. u work for it, u stand in line and u fill out dumb forms and make appointments, and calls and everything else that u have to do , u study and pass test and u pledge. u work for it u dont just get a job and "pass" off as belonging. not only do these criminals steal the right to be here they steal citizenship for their future children as well. they way the law goes if a drug dealer makes millions of dollars and then starts a business a regular business and makes money the gov will still come and take every penny the business, the money from the business and the drug money all of it. if its wrong to start no matter what the end its still UN earned and wrong.

Living here as an immigrant is an ongoing crime on an entirely different level than everything you mentioned. When legal citizens commit crimes, they are held to the laws of a country where they legally belong - why would they be kicked out? If a citizen steals from a store he/she is reprimanded by paying fines, serving jail time, etc. If someone immigrates here illegally, why should they not pay the price by being sent back where they came from? To answer your question, no, Americans who commit crimes should not be thrown out of their countries, but yes, illegal immigrants should be thrown out of OUR country. There are perfectly legal ways to immigrate into the USA and no justifiable reason to do it illegally.

You are right on 2 issues. A crime is a crime and people do commit them. No one is above the law and we do enforce our laws. Punishments are handed down based on the crime committed. The punishment for being in the country illegally is deportation. Your argument is not only ridiculous, but weak. Americans have rights guaranteed to them under the Constitution. Take the legal avenue to become a citizen and you will enjoy the same rights. Choose to enter the country illegally and the only right you are entitled to is humane treatment. Further people are not bashing Mexicans, they are demanding that people who wish to live in this country obey the law.

In America there is a simple yet completely mis-understood (by you anyway) concept that punishment should fit the crime. A completely justified and moral punishment for illegally entering America is deportation. Your insistence of throwing Americans out their own country shows your lack of understanding of the law.

First of all .not all illegal aliens are from Mexico .Second ,you cant equate a state law (speeding, running a red light ) to a federal
law against the unlawful entry into a country. If you are a legal American you cant get deported for running a red light, and you can if you are an illegal alien and are apprehended by ICE.

Section 274 felonies under the federal Immigration and Nationality Act, INA 274A(a)(1)(A):

A person (including a group of persons, business, organization, or local government) commits a federal felony when she or he:

* assists an alien s/he should reasonably know is illegally in the U.S. or who lacks employment authorization, by transporting, sheltering, or assisting him or her to obtain employment, or

* encourages that alien to remain in the U.S. by referring him or her to an employer or by acting as employer or agent for an employer in any way, or

* knowingly assists illegal aliens due to personal convictions.

And YOU personally cant throw any legal American out of their own country. You need to face reality and not the dream world you live in.

When people get caught running red lights, they get a ticket. If an illegal alien is caught, then he/she needs to be deported. You are right, a lot of Americans commit crimes. But when they commit those crimes, they don't throw a protest asking for rights and wanting to be given amnesty.

Sorry for your ignorance. To begin with, a person has to be legal to have any "rights" to make a decision as to the path he or she decides to take, being law abiding or lawbreaking. If you are here illegally, you have no choice as to your path but illegal. The law is the law, is the law, is the law. If I were in a country illegally, and had not pursued citizenship,I would probably keep my mouth shut,or go back where I came from to avoid the "bashing" that you speak of.What part of illegal is not clear?
