I have had 2 children whose father is an illegal from mexico, he has never recieved any welfare benefits of any kind, has always worked and had taxes taken from his pay, He is a good man and wonderful father to our children and makes sure our needs are met and we are taken care of. If he was to be deported how do you think it would affect my children?? everyone seems to think them being here is a problem and we are all entitled to our own opinions, but I feel the reality of it is having them leave will only create bigger problems, how many american women who have their children will lose the provider for their family and be forced to go on welfare, how many young children growing up without their father will turn to drugs or crimes? How many will emotionally carry scars as a result? Do we ever as americans look at it that way to???

You make an interesting point. Women like you, most of them anyway, know what they are getting into when they get in a relationship with an illegal alien. Its just like women who get into a relationship with a drug dealer or a robber. You know that illegal aliens have a chance of being deported, just like a woman who gets involved with a drug dealer knows that there is a chance her boyfriend could go to prison.

I agree, that it may cause emotional problems for the children, but perhaps people should think about that before they have children with criminals.

Also, what about the children of people who are losing jobs to illegal aliens? What will be the result when there is no money for these families? Will these kids also turn to drugs or crimes?

If he has been here long enough to father two children with you, and prove that he is a good father it sounds like he has been here more than long enough to start the naturalization process. He will have to go back to Mexico and go through Juarez I do believe, which does suck and can take some time, and it will cost money. You can do it that way, or believe it or not all military branches are offering citizenship after serving a 4 year tour. (My brother due to complexion and accent was offered this at the recruiters just last month.)

I understand that you are in a panic. But think of it this way would you rather always wonder if he got deported just because he is late coming home? Or would you prefer to make it legal? Also if you already have 2 children have you thought about marriage? Since you guys are obviously a family it wouldn't be lying or marrying for the sake of citizenship. It would be marrying to solidify your family unit.

think about it....Buena suerte.

If your children's father cared about his children he'd either become legal or take you all back to Mexico. What kind of example is he setting for his children by breaking the law? What kind of example are you setting by playing the victim? You're both just perpetuating the problem through your kids.

Go with him, we did not go "hook" up with an immigrant. And from your question you did not marry him. If you did he would not be facing deportation. If you are that worried about it I am sure all the American companys moving to Mexico will help you find work.We carry enough of the worlds burrdens, its time Americans start taking care of whats in our own yards....

Women [the last time I checked] were free to make their own choices. So rather than "going on welfare" emigrate to his country. There is no law that says he must remain here, rather just the opposite. If he is truly the man of your dreams and you wish to be with him, then go to his country.

While I sympathize with what you're saying, if your husband cares about this at all, he should attempt to become legal. I feel bad for your children, but I don't feel bad in general for those who choose to enter a country illegally without regard for the law. Your scenario is unfortunate, but if there aren't consequences, immigrants will continue to get away with it. I don't have a problem with immigration, but if people want to enter our country illegally, what reason is there for us to believe they will abide by any of our other laws?

So, with what you are saying do you think all criminals should be pardoned of their crime because they worked, have kids, and never received any Govt. assistance ? You should be asking how and what steps do you take to make your boyfriend legal. For myself they broke a law and should be in Jail, before going home. and for the employers they should also be jailed and fined, for harboring a fugitive, sorry hunni you should have thought of this before planning any children if you did so, or you should have practiced safe sex to not put yourself in this predicament.

MOTHERS AGAINST ILLEGAL ALIENS IS THE NAME OF THE ORGANIZATON AND THEY ARE 100% CORRECT! "Illegal Alien Infants" a/k/a ANCHOR BABIES are NOT AMERICA CITIZENS and they are NOT DUAL CITIZENS. The are MEXICAN CITIZENS and ILLEGAL AT THAT! BABIES can not apply for DUAL CITIZENSHIP when they are ILLEGALLY IN THE USA! The Mothers are ILLEGAL IN THE USA and their BABIES are also the NATIONALITY OF THE MOTHER when she delivers anywhere in the world/Abroad! That is what it says in the Mexican Constitution and every other Constitution in the SOUTH AMERICA! LOOK IT UP! YOU DON"T LIKE IT BUT IT"S TRUE! Illegal ALIEN INFANTS are ILLEGAL ALIENS and they WILL HAVE THEIR FRAUD CITIZENSHIP RECINDED! Watch and SEE!

One question that you left out.
How many children will grow up with no respect for the laws of this country, seeing an example of their illegal parent(s) with their
negligence or disrespect for OUR laws?
Just something to think about.
