Unless some of the people that answered you are from another country, the peacock IS NOT our national bird. Wow, take a look at the pictures with flags. EAGLE everyone, EAGLE. You see the eagle pictured almost every where that our flag is. The picture of 911 showed the burning buildings in the background and in the foreground was the American flag and a soaring eagle. It is a beautiful picture showing that even during the worst of times, we will prevail as a country. So remember, the beautiful, majestic EAGLE.

I think you are from India. The national bird of India is Peacocok. Each country has a different National bird, animal, etc.
