First of all don't talk about how America possesed him into becoming a tyrant. People make their own decisions. Secondly, America didn't execute him ya idiot. Thirdly, it doesn't matter what day it is, Saddam was a piece of **** and deserved to die. No mercy on his ***.

This was the Shia government of Iraq that did this. It was their insult to the Sunnis, and to Saddam.
It is said that Eid was the day that Saddam liked to take his murdered victims to their families-on Eid! And, was this right? He was insulting the Shias.
The Shia Eid did not start till the day after the Sunni Eid started. So, they also did not feel they were going against their Eid.
But, it was all an insult by the Shia. It had nothing to do with the American governemnt.

I am sure everyone stated this but it was the Iraqi gov who choose to record and kill Sadam.
I think since what the war was founded on the charges should have not even been able to be applied due to circumstance of war. Maybe I am think American law to much.

They say everything is a coincidence. Basically saying we are stupid haha...
Edit:
"You should know that the Iraqi gov. held execution on Sadam, not the US of A."
Hey stupids, who put the Iraq government in place? We did. It is called imperialism. Also, as a side note, since we were holding Saddam we had the choice of postponing the execution. Obviously we didn't, because that set date was extraordinarily symbolic and too good to pass up.

It was a smack in the face from one Muslim sect to another...different sects start the celebration on different days. Saddam was hung on the first day of the Sunni celebration, before the Shia version. The US did not choose the day, the court did. It was a slap at the Sunnis and almost certainly a declaration that sectarianism is still a huge force in Iraq's government.

I examine something on how a Iraqi valid become gloating that the day become particularly picked for Saddam. A shiite of direction

Oh God yeah. They are trying to cause more trouble between the Sunni & Shiat Muslims, becasue the Sunni Eid was on Saturday (day of exicution) and the Shiat was on Sunday, therefor to the government and people who excitcuted him (shiats) it wasnt the day of Eid to them..
People who disagree with this i ask you to look at it this way, what would you have done if George Bush was exectued on Christmas? Same S.H.I.T different smell.

Well I agree that execution during Islamic holidays was clearly not a good idea....your question is actually wrong because it was not the Americans who executed Saddam...it was the Iraqi government...the U.S. was just holding Saddam in a cell.
