with the built in desktop shareing and wake on lan you can start it remotely

iam not sure about your idea........but there is an way to operate from other place ........i dont think, it will be possible to make an software to start of its own automatically...we can set it out...but cant make it always..........

just leave it running nonstop, computers are made for that (as long as you let it go into screensaver mode after x minutes)
