Ok... I'm 100 lbs overweight. I'm weighing in at 300 lbs. Ever since I stopped drug usage a few years back, I got really depressed and have gained 150 lbs. My doctor has given me an anti-depressant as well as another pill to give me more energy and keep me awake during the day and a lose of appetite. Now that I have this abundancy of energy, I am starting to work out and get my life back together.
This is my method: 1. Run/Walk (can't do a full mile running yet, but I am getting there) 1 mile each morning, once I get this down pat, I will increase to 2 miles.
2. No more diet sodas, juices, milk. Water only.
3. No more food... In a sense. I am only eating carrots, green peppers, & such. Nothing else. No sauce. Only munch on throughout the day. No real meals. Just a piece of carrot here or there.
4. Since I am not getting my full nutritional value, I am supplumenting that with multi vitamins.

So with this diet plan, is it possible to lose weight? And how much can I possibly lose?

you will lose weight for about a month after that your body will keep every calorie you take in... I lost 60 pounds so far..got a lot more to go. I lost 20 lbs in the first 20 days than stopped losing for about a month.. I was eating less than 500 cals per day.. I had to increase it to 1200 and this helped me lose another 40.

at this point in your exercise it is best to walk for 30 minutes than run one mile... Check out ediets, com even if you do not sign up for the meal plan you can get the articles about diet and exercises.

Good luck with the weight loss and a BIG CONGRATULATIONS on the no drug thing..that is awesome

btw.. i read someplace that the average person uses 18 to 22 calories per pund per day.. so if you weigh 300 use this formula
300x18 = calories needed to keeop this weight. eat or burn 2300 less and lose a pound

I don't think you are eating enough, and surely your stomach is not satisfied with bits of carrots throughout the day...
There are bigger and better things you can eat and your stomach will be pleased and full, but you will still lose weight...

Chicken, chicken, chicken....
Baked, grilled, roasted, broiled, anyway but fried. And make sure it is skinless.. It is hardly any fat at all and only 2grams of carbs. It is also a good source of protein, which your body uses to burn fat..

I am on this diet right now. I cut out carbs and bake or grill chicken every night. And have a side of veggies with it..
You can get creative with the chicken. I put a coat of honey mustard on the breast peices and bake at 350 for 1 hour.. You can use barbeque or italian dressing.. It's so easy.. There are even precooked whole chickens you can buy and all you have to do is stick it in the oven for 30 minutes.. It's SOOOO good and very very low in fat... (check the nutritional information on the back)

Good luck and know what your going through....

Though losing weight so fast is not neccessarily the healthiest way to drive that little red mark on the scale back, it is possible to loose weight that fast, particularly because of your size. Many overweight people experience a similar drastic weight loss when they cut their calorie intake. You can determine precisely how many pounds you can loose each week by subtracting your current calorie intake from the aproximate calorie intake you need for weight maitenence, add the calorie deficit together at the end of the week, and divide it by 3500. In other words, each pound of body fat equals 3500 calories. So, for every 3500 you burn off by restricting and excercising, you loose a pound. Good luck!!

yes...that and cut off an arm. Seriously, no. you may lose it, but i'll be water, and the "weight" you'll lose will be muscle. take it slow. Starve yrself and what the lb's fall off and pile on. Take it slow. More than 5lb per week is too fast. I lose 1/2 lb per week and I stay healthy, fit, and lose no muscle. Multi vitamins are rubbish. They are extras, but never replace real food. and what about protein? where are you getting that from?

Always start your meal which has a salad. It'll fill you upwards, making you eat less in the actual meal, and it's means fewer calories than typical deep-fried or maybe cheesy apps.
