did I ever say I will prove the bible is wrong?

The burden of providing proof is on your shoulders, my friend. Do you have a shred of REAL evidence to support the supernatural claims of the bible? absolutely not.
I am sure that you believe you have MANY pieces of evidence. That is because you don't understand what real evidence is, and your supernatural ideas depend entirely on weak logic. I expect that you will dismiss this, because you do not understand what words like logic mean, and how logic works. Your problem is that you DO NOT UNDERSTAND TRUTH! That's why you are convinced that you understand it :).

"...without using a Theory yourself" Unfortunately, you don't understand what the word "theory" means. EVERY explanation ANYONE came up with for ANYTHING is a "theory". Even your religion, is a theory.

"But I also think that an Atheist that says because science proves it, without giving any proof, sounds just as idiotic!"

I will not attempt to prove that your religious claims are wrong, I would be a fool to try. Is this because your claims are correct? NO! Here's something for you to consider: prove there is no teapot orbiting mars.
You have no hope of proving that, just as I have no hope of proving supernatural religious claims are wrong. It is a silly request on your part :).

The one who has proving to do is YOU. You probably do not understand this, but science has countless extremely powerful proofs, far stronger and deeper than any that religious theory can provide.

"Evolution is a Theory, a long way from scientific fact, by the rules of science itself."
You dishearten me with your ignorance. This statement clearly shows, again, that you DO NOT understand what "theory" means to science. Do not say "by the rules of science". You evidently do not know what science is.

"What is sad is anyone that rules out any possibility without fact. As soon as you rule out a possibility you take away any chance of growing intellectually or learning more."

Do you intend to insult me? Have I said that I have ruled ANYTHING out? absolutely not. It is rather fantastic to hear you say such words when your religious institution is famous, through all history, for withholding free discussion and inquisition(oops! I mean inquiry) into the nature of existence and the universe. Your advice to me regarding intellectual growth is laughable. You are lost, and sorely in need of intellectual growth. You have shown that you do not even understand the simplest concepts involved in description and discovery of truth; logic, argumentation, theory, fact. I have not closed my mind to the idea that I may be totally wrong. I am waiting for ANYONE in the entire world to show A SINGLE SHRED of -REAL- evidence supporting supernatural religious beliefs.

You don't have to be an Atheist to believe in Evolution. Evolution is the most logical way in which a divine creator would have created life. But yes I am tired of this kind of thing. The church used to consider the spherical Earth theory to be blasphemous, now Christians are claiming that the bible said that the Earth was "round." I'm sure the religious leaders in Columbus' time would have said that it meant round like a pancake. I find it ironic that the Creationists will admit that so-called "micro" evolution exists, but not what they call "macro" evolution. If small changes happen over a short period of time, then it can't be logically denied that large changes happen over a longer period of time.

Another thing is that Creationists keep pointing out the fact that evolution is a theory and not a "scientific fact." The fact of the matter is that nearly everything in science is considered theory. The theory of gravity, the theory of relativity, the big bang theory, the list goes on.

But theories aren't what Creationists think they are. Theories are backed by hard scientific evidence. Gravity is a theory, but we know that larger bodies attract smaller bodies. Even though E=mc^2 is just a theory, we can still use it to make nuclear power, and attomic weapons. The big bang is a theory, yet when we chart the movements of galexies we know that they are all moving outward from a central point as if they all came from that spot. And even though evolution is just a "theory" the evidence is all over. In the fosil records, in the slight differences of similar animals, and in the mutation of viruses. Viruses evolve, that's why there is no cure for the common cold. When our bodies create immunities to one type of cold, it evolves to adapt itself to the new conditions.

The truth is that hindsight is 20/20. The church can claim all they want that everything that science has theorized, is writen in the bible, but nearly every one of those theories were considered blasphemous by the church at one point in time. Give it 100 years and the church will be saying that the bible says, plain as day, that evolution is a reality.

Please show me your scientific evidence that proves the Bible is wrong, without using a Theory yourself. I can understand why an Atheist would hate to hear "because the Bible says so" without any other proof or evidence, even circumstantial. And I am a Christian. But I also think that an Atheist that says because science proves it, without giving any proof, sounds just as idiotic! Science has not proven the Bible wrong in any manner. Evolution is a Theory, a long way from scientific fact, by the rules of science itself. The beginning of earth or our solar system? Science has no more logical explanation than the Bibles. Both start with nothing that make something, or starts with something that has always existed with no beginning. What is sad is anyone that rules out any possibility without fact. As soon as you rule out a possibility you take away any chance of growing intellectually or learning more
To C_Jinnett - the Pope said the earth was flat. He does not represent all of Christianity. I am a Christian and I do not recognize the Pope as anything other than another political leader of a sovereign nation. The Vatican
If you would have looked at my answer closly I did not defend either side or accuse you of either. I made a statement that too many people make absolutes on both sides, without absolute proof. Evidence can be either circumstancial or definative. At this time I am not aware of a definitve evidence to absolutely prove either theory, Evidence that can lead to a conclusion yes. As for evidence that to support the Bible, yes there is both scientific, and Historical data outside the church that support the Bible. Archeology has provided evidence also. Absolute proof no, evidence yes. As solid as the evidence ofr the other side. If you looked close I stated that a Christain saying only that the Bible says so as their only proof was idiotic also. As for your staement is there a tea pot orbiting Mars, I would think we had enough physical data to show that there is not, but I will give and say that it could still be considered a theory. Proof would be when we photgraph it close enough to leave no doubt. I do know the difference. As for my religious institution withholding free thinking and the inqusition. I did state that the pope (and therefore the Catholic church) is nothing more to me than another head of state. I do not subscribe to the Catholic church or its doctrines.
As for showing a single peice of real evidence, which subject would you like to start with? I enjoy debate, but stop taking it personal. I did not accuse you, or place you in any catagory. So no I did not mean to insult you. If I ever intend to do that, I will make it clear.

I like how they can so glibly dismiss science. Almost all professional biologists accept evolution as a fact yet someone who has never even studied biology can label them all misguided liars with an anti-religious agenda. Do Christians never stop and think about just how incredible it is to believe that hundreds of thousands of scientists with years of study and experience behind them could be so wrong? It's unfortunate that this kind of pseudo science isn't dismissed as the complete nonsense that it really is.

I had to stop watching when the woman said that the idea of evolution came from pagan Greek philosophers and 'embarrassing roots'. She was very proud to announce that the Bible 'knew' that the earth was a 'circle' though she didn't mention that one of those embarrassing pagan Greek philosophers named Pythagoras had even pointed out that celestial bodies were spherical, including earth, back in the 500s BC, hundreds of years BEFORE even the Dead Sea Scrolls existed.

What an ignorant joke! Voltaire was so right to think we imported lunatics from other planets ....

"EARTH IS AN INSANE ASYLUM, TO WHICH THE OTHER PLANETS DEPORT THEIR LUNATICS." --Voltaire (Memnon the Philosopher).

I am more tired of the adamant atheists and the evolutionary propaganda that bullies and steamrolls over any mention of God or Jesus.
