If you have no "papers" and "have lived here 14 years" then I assume you are here illegally. If so, are you not being just a bit disingenuous? how can you swear to uphold the Law when your committing a crime? How can you look you fellow officers in the eye and know that you intend to enforce the laws selectively based upon some self-subjective criteria?
If I am wrong and you are a citizen then I do apologize.

I don't know you but I'm proud that your wanting to do something with your life that serves and protects people. Being interested in law enforcement, by now I'm sure you know the answer. You must first follow the law to be worthy to enforce it. It sounds like your the kind of person this nation needs as an American. I wish I could tell you the steps but I'm not sure, except that I know you must somehow become a legal citizen first. After that, all doors will open to you and you can fulfill your dreams as far as your willing to work hard to achieve them. I truly wish you the best.

Don't bother. You need to be a legal resident of the U.S. to be a police officer is any respected police department in the U.S...
I know you just want to do the job because it pays well. In many California cities the starting wages for a police recruit is over $60,000 a year.

My friend first of all you need to obtain a birth certificate. If you are an American citizen you should apply for an American passport. You should have a social security number also, especially if you want to work and attend college. You must obtain these documents legally. If you do not have these please contact a good immigration attorney and they will help you.

Are you congenitally insane? A cop in Calif? Try Plum City, Wisconsin. You might have a chance to survive there.

If you have no papers you cant get a govenment job period. and you are forced to look for crappy jobs. If your sister is over 21 and a citizen of the U.S. she can petition you via an immigration attorney.
