First of all, we believe that it is from GOD, so HE being the CREATOR, will command us only things that are good for us.

People raise a hue and cry about POlygamy. In the west you can have multiple sexual partners until you settle down, which is termed OKAY to them, but when in Islam Polygamy is an option not a MUST, they deny.

In any given population, women are greater than men. More men are killed in wars. Biologically the life span of females is higher than males. So what will become of the remianing females who dont find a husband?? Either become a second wife to a married male and get social RIGHTS

Become a public property which is happening in the western society.

There is NO Quranic Ayah (Verse) that says to ensalve Women, The Prophet (PBUH) himself freed women, children and old whenever they were captured.

Enslaving men and women after war was a practice of the Pagan Makkan people, the Holy prophet abolished it but gradually.

A woman is protected in a Burqa (hijab), she is not degraded by this.

The US has the highest rate of rape. WHy? What about the Islamic countries??? They ahve the lowest rates???

God's commandments about the status of women and the relations between men and women, which have been revealed to us through the Qur'an, consist of full justice. Acording to the general Muslim mentality Muslims believe they are giving respect to the women because although she is forced to marry old men, forced to have sex with a man she does not want to, forced to be one of many wives, forced to obey a man she is given respect because the man who forces her is her Husband.
As a wife she is given respect a girlfriend is not. Mmmm I suppose this could be called respect assuming women had the mental IQ's of a five year old and were unable to make decisions for themselves.

Allah said in Qur’an:

"Men [as husbands] are responsible for their women because God has made the one superior to the other [in different spheres] and because they spend of their wealth. Therefore, righteous women are obedient [to their husbands] and guard their secrets as God has also guarded secrets. As for those from whom you fear refusal of obedience, admonish them and [if this does not effect their behavior then] leave them alone on their beds and [if even this does not effect their behavior then] beat them." Qur'an (4: 34)

In fact, Allah Almighty has allowed beating wives as the last resort for husbands, a man should warn his wife first, and if she is still stubborn, then he may stop sleeping with her, and then if she is still disobeying him then he might beat her (slightly).

Wife beating anytime and for any reason is prohibited in Islam.

Allah says in the Holy Qur'an:

“ Do not retain them (i.e., your wives) to harm them...” Qur'an (2:231)"

In this verse Allah forbids husbands from keeping their wives with the intention of harming them.

And covering is the modesty and the dignity of a woman.It has such benefits as a guard against any assault, equality with men, air of respect and honor and it requires women to avoid any sort of attraction to men.

Enslaving is strongly prohibited in Islam too!! Islam is unique among the `religions' in its close attention to the peaceful removal of this practice. Before the advent of Islam, slavery was widespread all over the world. The Messenger of Islam taught us that freeing slaves was a great deed in the sight of Allah. From the Sunnah, specifically in the study of the Sunnah called Sahih Bukhari, we find:


[3:46:693] Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, "Whoever frees a Muslim slave, Allah will save all the parts of his body from the (Hell) Fire as he has freed the body-parts of the slave." Said bin Marjana said that he narrated that Hadith to `Ali bin Al-Husain and he freed his slave for whom `Abdullah bin Ja'far had offered him ten thousand Dirhams or one-thousand Dinars.
