I started dating a 31 year old when I was 20 so it's the same age gap, but I was a couple years older than you when we started. We're engaged now, and in my opinion the age gap is not too big for it to work, but since you're still young, you should be very careful. Know everything about him and be cautious while you proceed...

I personally think that going out with him might not be the greatest idea, yes the age difference is too much and unless he's got the best charming skills in text or IM, I say it's not worth risking it when you don't even see him face to face enough to decide whether or not he's BS. Please don't let me insult you, but anyone can say anything on the Internet or instant messaging, the very reason being that they don't have to look the other person in the eye while they say it. My final answer being, get to know him better personally before you make such a big jump in age, don't be fooled by his "charming" words. Good Luck, Bye.

I don't think that's a big gap at all. you're still within a 10 year span, which i think is close enuff to still have some similarities. go for it :) esp if you have a lot in common & like being around him! it might only be a problem if 1 of you have commitment issues, but depends on the guy.

I had just turned 18 and my ex was 38 at the time.. we where together for 4 years and I don't to this day regret being with him, he was protective and serious about the relationship and he was a good man when it came to having a real relationship.. older men are better in many ways, you should date him, you'll find him most likely to be really good for you in allot of ways :) :) :)

Yes to much age difference. What does he want with a girl of your age anyway? Find your place in the world before any guy! He has problems!

Its about life experience. He is in a totally different place in life than you are. So I would say defintitely yes. If you were both 10 years older it wouldnt be as big of a deal.

it is time for you to know if the guy that you are into a relationship right now really loves you....tell him that you want to see him in person...if he ignores you for that....then that man is not worth for your love and sarifice.....and to tell you....age doesn't really matter...if you really love someone.....you should be willing to accept everything about him....be your own woman....find your heppiness....and have it.....
