Keep in mind I am very liberal, vegan, down to earth and bi. I've lived in the LA area for almost ten years, and spent three months in anaheim, but didn't get much of an idea about oc. It seemed cleaner and safer, but more boring and conservative. I don't know if I was there long enough to make a good decision.

This is so easy that I can't believe you've been in LA for 10 years and haven't figured it out!!!

SANTA MONICA

The best place I can think of for you is West Hollywood, CA. There is a large gay/bi community, has a low crime rate, and is mostly liberal. OC is the conserative capital of CA, and would probably not fit your lifestyle.

OC, Who wants to be around people that are exactly like you? Thats boring. In OC you can have fun by trying to out as many closet homo republicans you want, I'm sure there are plenty.

Form your description of yourself, I would say you would probably be most comfortable living in the West Hollywood- Santa Monica area. From an L.A. point of view, these are the most ultra "lefty" parts of town.

Westside Los Angeles is OK..skip Orange County unless you are rich and conservative...the gay/bi community is alive and well in Hillcrest, San Diego. Lots of great stores, cafe bistros, interesting people of all stripes.

if you are a liberal you should stay in LA. but if you want to explore people of the other side of the political spectrum.. go to OC... but you will NOT find many liberals in OC.

best answer: stick to LA.
