Christians do worship Jesus as the son of God because the true Bible has been changed by dirty hands.Its followers believe the false Bible and they do not believe Muhammad pbuh and Islam as the newest religion from Allah because the Allah's announce- ment in Torach and Bible has been deleted...Threy believe in a wrong perception that Jesus will bear all of his followers sins so they believe that they will enter heaven.In holy Qur'an Allah stated the true statement that each people will bear their own sins and Jesus was only a prophet and he was not the son of God.Allah has no son and no parents.
.Everyone is responsible to their own wrong and good doings.All christians do not recognized Islam as an updated religion given by Allah and Muhammad pbuh as the last prophet..

The bible is all about interpretation I'm not quoting directly or pasting but I think it says this: I am the Alpha, the Omega, the beginning and the end. All those who follow me will have eternal life.
To me that means I am a good example a really good example if you act as good as I do you will live a fulfilled life.

I've wondered the exact same thing but I believe the early church has augmented scripture to support these beliefs although that would contradict passages like" look inside you head to find god and heaven"paraphrased . Anyway such subtleties are argumentative to say the least.

Jesus never said it because he didn't want people to idolize him. I guess that means practically all Christians are going to hell.
There actually are passages in the bible about Jesus telling point blank not to idolize him. He also gave examples. Churches etc.

One of the disciples asked Jesus to show them the Father. Jesus said to him. Don't you know me. If you see me you have seen the Father because the Father and I are one.

Wow, your opening lines are pretty harsh...but anyways, I think it has to do with the verse where Jesus said,'I and my Father are one'...maybe that's why Christians think he was God!
