I've been seeing this guy for 4 months now, and I'm absolutely in love with him, and he says he loves me too. Sometimes during our phone conversations, out of the blue he'll just ask "why do you love me?"...and everytime, I don't know why I haven't made myself ready for this question yet, but it catches me off guard..and even though I know all the qualities I love in him, I can't think of anything to say, and I get flustered, nervous...and dont even want to respond?...I feel really bad, like I'm a little kid again or something. This is not really an urgent question...but can someone help me?

Just say something like, because you're you! Or right a list and keep in near your phone, or give it too him in a letter and explain light heartedly that you dont respond well to pressure.

What are the things you like about him?? if you can think of anything then that should be your answer. One other thing that always works is saying that you love everything about the person, because even those little irratating things they do; you will miss if they weren't around!!!!

Doesn't sound like a telephone convo - just tell him that - your feelings are serious and you like conversations that are serious to be face to face. It will make your life way easier - as him asking the question will be a lot harder.

Your BF is an idoit for asking such a pansey-*** question.

He just wants to hear nice things about himself.

Reverse it. Say, "well why do you love ME?" and giggle and what not, and if he goes. "I asked you first" and just be cute and flirty and say, "well i'm not telling until you tell me first" His words can give you ideas. but otherwise, just think. Why is he different from anyonther guy in the world? If he isn't, then i think you should rethink your "LOVE" statement.

He sounds insecure. Just name off a few of the qualities you love about him like... you make me laugh, you are not judgemental, you are faithful and sincere....blah blah blah...and that should soothe him and then you can move on.

I agree with the person above me. Just tell him while your ********, he'll acknowledge it while avoiding a possibly awkward moment

You get nervous because you love him in someways but not in all ways. but in the meantime enjoy the childlike experience because in most relationships they feel nothing but habitual ways

you have got it bad......if he can make you feel childish as you say you have it for him big time....just think about all the wonderful things about him and tell him what his qualities are...then ask him the same question.....ooooh to be in love.....

If you can tell someone why you love them, then you probably don't. There is never a real reason why we love, it should just happen, and it should be unconditional! tell him, you love him - for loving you!!!
