I think hitler didnt kill as many jews as the americans say he did. I think that the Americans had to make him look bad to excuse what the world did to germany. Although he did kill jews (theres no denying that), what the world was told was a lie. THe world had to have a legitimate excuse for abusing germany so much. Just as the americans said they had to attack iraq. In my opinion hitler stood up for the german people and gave the world justice at least for a few years.

you people are sick. MY granda livved in gernamny after ww1 and his stories were not pretty. The world let france abuse germany after the war. And then the russian occupation of east berlin after ww2 was more disgusting than what happended to the jews. the world has forgotten what truely happend during ww2. what luck, the russians said that more jews were killed than before. thats not a biased source. dont believe everything you hear. Hey, theres lots of nukelear bombs in iraq. after ww1 germanys lands were stolen adn its people weresunk into poverty. Hitler helped these people and defeated it oppressors, he truely was a great man(pretty good, exept for the few jews he killed, but not as many people are told).

lets not forget that the british bombed german civilians in ww2, because germany accidntaly dropped one bomb in the wrong spot, that was due to a piolet error. If you ask me that is just as bad as anyhting hitler did.

The exact number of people killed by the Nazi regime may never be known, but scholars, using a variety of methods, including documentation from the Nazis of determining the death toll, have generally agreed upon common range of the number of victims.
Recently declassified British and Soviet documents have indicated the total may be somewhat higher than previously believed.
The following estimates provide a range of the number of victims:
An estimated 5 to 6 million Jews, including 3 million Polish Jews
1.8 – 1.9 million Christian Poles and other (non-Jewish) Poles
200,000–800,000 Roma & Sinti (Gypsies)
200,000–300,000 people with disabilities
80,000–200,000 Freemasons
100,000 communists
10,000–25,000 homosexual men
2,500–5,000 Jehovah's Witnesses

If you step back and take a NON passionate view of History, a very hard task indeed, you find things are always Hyped. To the victor go the spoils. Yes the Shabby set of demands set forth in the treaty of Versailles were too harsh and bred contempt withing Germany. The added pressure came from the Communist trying to take over the government and the American Stock Market crash which caused a more oppressive level of inflation in Germany leading to the collapse of government. Hitler lead the Nationalists in a race against the Communists and Built up the Economy from a disaster to a healthy level in a very short time. It was not the Americans that set the number of Jews killed but a group of people that pulled the great records kept by the Germans. There are a lot of reasons for his targeting of the Jews, too much to list here. Ultimately though As a leader and a Cult of personality Adolf takes the brunt of responsibility. It does not matter if He Knew or not. I like to look at history in a non passionate way but that will get you quite a few confrontations and you must be careful where you express your knowledge.

If you are able to read, you oughta read The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich by William Shirer It shows in detail the many schemes and intrigues HItler did to gain and hold power.
He killed so many Germans, non-Germans, Jews, Catholics, etc. it's unbelievable.
I can't believe you honestly think that Hitler was anything but a schemer who through an incredible series of events took over a country that wasn't even his native land.
Only the legendary German reliance on following orders and sense of orderliness made it possible for a gang of mostly mentally aberrant thugs to take power there. Kind of like Iran today I guess.
LIke the WWll vet said, Nazis were pretty hard to find after the war, everybody was just "Ordnung sind Ordnung", after all you had to follow orders right? Not!
Todays German army stresses the individual soldier's need to determine whether an order is moral and lawful, not like the old Wehrmacht. I happen to think the German soldier of today would refuse to follow most of the orders of the old Third Reich.
Deutschland Uber Alles doesn't mean we have to rule the world, just love our Fatherland.

Does he have to kill a lot of jews to make him look bad? A few isn't enough for you?! Hitler was not framed. You are just making up an excuse for Germany. The then Germany is not the same one of today. For what reason did Hitler stand up for the German people to begin with? In what way were the Germans deprived of anything back then. Every minority or ethnic group that does well is not liked by those in close proximity and watching them flourish. That was what happened. Go to the Holocaust Museum if you are in the USA. It will be a religious experience. If your grandparents died in the gas chambers and were buried in mass graves, I wonder if you'd think this way. I think not!
Hey Studbolt, you are really cute! What you said made me laugh so much. hahaha. Cheers pal!

The Germans tried ethnic clensing on a major scale. They killed somewhere in the area of 6 million Jews, 2 million Polish citizens, and hundreds of thousands of others who did not meet the goal of their "Master Race" philosophy.
The first thing he did was refuse to honor the reparation payments that had to be made to France after the First World War.
To tell you the truth, America would not have gotten involved much except that once the Japanese attacked the Americans, and the Americans responded to the attack by declaring war, the Germans had to (by treaty) declare war on the Americans.
The list of war crimes that Hitler committed speaks volumes for what he stood for:
Murdering Jews, Poles, Gypsies, Catholics, homosexuals, physically handicapped, mentally handicapped.
Regularly attacking civilian targets, with no military significance (read up on the Battle of Britain, the Warsaw Ghetto and others).
Hitler killed himself because he was like any other bully leader. He had no one to lay the blame on, and he knew that he would be executed for his crimes against humanity. He committed suicide because even he knew that what he did was against the laws of all civilized societies.

Apologies but you are absolutely wrong.
Framed? Hitler???
Germany was instrumental in the escalation of ww1. The west dealt badly with Germany after ww1, but as the "losing" side, what could Germans possibly expect: if you back such a war, you will be screwed if you lose it.
The proof was in the backing of Hitler by the German people. On the back of promised jobs, they let one of the most evil tyrants in modern history try to exterminate several entire races of people, while many supposedly civilised Germans looked on.
Hitler did not bring justice, he brought irrational hate. His idea was to blame Judaism for all of Germany's problems.
I agree that the Russians did commit atrocities against the Jews (and many others), but you cannot justify Hitler's actions based on "Communist Russia did it so it must be fine" (if everybody lived to this rule we would be absolutely bugg erred).
Germans also bombed many other European civilians during the war. The bombing of civilians is wrong of course but this is NOT relevant to your point.
As far as I am aware, none of the other Nazi German leaders were "tortured" after the war. They were given as fair a trial as possible, and then many were executed. I also disagree with the death penalty, but to claim that fear of torture is a defence for his horrendous actions is frankly ludicrous.
He killed himself simply to prevent the allies from having the satisfaction of doing it for him (and I don't think for a second he was repentent for any of his crimes against Jews, Germany, and the world).

I don't think he was framed. He was a dynamic leader with a population of industrious hard working people supporting him due to the fact that they were oppressed for so long after WW I. He challenged and almost defeated the same people who have throughout history tried to control world monetary systems and the masses. He met his end by making some erroneous decisions, but at least he made a decision and usually stuck by it, unlike some of our former leaders in this country.

I fought in WW2 and was in Germany. When I looked at the ruins of many German cities and the hungry, dirty little kids I was unhappy that I couldn't have killed Hitler personally. He killed millions of Jews, Christians, Poles, Russians, you name it. He was despised by virtually everyone outside of Germany. 98% of the Germans loved him. He was to them a great man; however, when American, French, Polish and Russian troops invaded Germany and hacked it to pieces they didn't love him anymore. After the war, there wasn't a friggen Nazi to be found in all of Germany. Everyone denied being enthralled with Adolf. He was a paranoid murderer.

He killed Jews and his goal was the extermination of the Jewish people. This is well documented and historically accepted. While the exact number of Jews killed may be in doubt, the fact that his ultimate goal was their extermination (this is usually refered to as genocide) means he is just as guilty. Hitler was not framed.

What are you babbling about? Murder is murder, and genocidal maniacs going about and cleansing their "homelands" by machinegun fire must be put to an end immediately, if not sooner. There is no justice in killing people, much less to serve one's ego. He gained power on a platform of bringing honor and power back to the German people, yet he completely destroyed it by pursuing a pointless and evil end. What's so justified about that?
