first of all, get your history right.
those were the Jews who lived in the city and made an alliance with the Muslims. but when the stone worshipers attacked the city they attacked the Muslims instead of defending the city with them as the treaty said.

maybe bacause prophet mohammad made a truce with the jewish people and they petraied him by letting his enemies enter to "madina" from their side of the city? jewish had disrespect every truce muslims made with them
