What you should probably do is first find out how much sleep you actually need. If it's say... 7 hours, then you need to gradually move your bedtime until it's 7 hours before 5AM (so over at LEAST a few days, go from sleeping at 5AM to sleeping at 10PM). A few things can help this
1. don't use your bed for anything besides sleep
2. never take naps
3. keep caffine and food intake to a minimum at least 3 hours prior to sleep
4. change teh location or sound of your alarm clock or get multiple ones.
Failing that, I guess you could just not sleep at all - I do that sometimes when I need to wake up super early after a late night. It's not incredibly great, but on the otther hand it gets the job done (and coffee/red bull does wonders)

1.Eat dinner at 6:00 /6:30, wash dishes, 2. shower, brush teeth.3. Lay clean clothes out. 4.Say prayers,Thanl God you're o.k. 5. Set clock alarm for 5:00 am. Or you can do it the native way drink 2 glasses of water before you go to bed that will get you up around 3 or 4 in the morning. Good Luck.

Set as many alarm clocks as you own to make sure you are up at the time you need too.
Make sure you get something into your system, food. Very hard to do! My Mr. went on day shift for a month. Turned this house upside down. I loved it when it was over!! I am so used to making dinner at midnight lol! By the time he gets home he has something hot to eat.
I did get more sleep then I have in a long time though. Get to bed early, make yourself lay there until you fall asleep, it is hard! Just make yourself.
Good luck; you may need it....

You have to adjust your sleep cycle. If you have time, do it slow. Start getting up a little earlier every 3 days or so instead of all at once. For instance, tomorrow, Thursday & Friday, get up at 10 am. On Saturday, Sunday & Monday, get up at 9am. Next Tuesday, get up at 7:30am. So on it goes until you reach your goal. Also, go to bed a little earlier each night. Do whatever makes you sleepy beforehand.
You must make a commitment to really get up when the alarm goes off, though, or it won't work.
Good luck!!!

Use an alarm, of course. More important is to change the habit of sleeping late and get up late. Instead of doing that, sleep early, and when your body think you have enough sleep, it won't that hard to get up early also. It is difficult at first few nights, but if you try harder, you can do it in about 2 weeks or so. Cheers.

lol change your routine, soon you'll get used to the new one...good luck!..you'll have to start cold turkey at first, just tell urself to fall asleep at a sooner time. No matter how much you're not sleepy. Just lay down and try sleeping. Soon, everything'll fall in place.

Lol if I have to get up at 5am, I just stay up all night then, I go to sleep at the end of the day so that I'll be SO tired, go to bed early, so that I can wake up early, then I just get on a "normal people's" schedule.
I NEVER NEVER sleep at night. 100% nocturnal, so I wake up at 3pm everyday.

well, me myself, what i do is.. get an alarm clock. I set it for 5am and wake up at 5 am till my body is use to it... then i get to the point when i forget to set my alarm clock and my body wants to wake up at that time. Its like my body is its own alarm clock or it senses something not right and wakes me up.
Might not work for everyone but it works for me everytime.
Ya gotta get into new habits and i guess train ya body to do something new.
