For using the renewable source of energy like Sunlight, we need to convert it into thermal (more than the temp. provided as such) and electrical energy, then only it will be of much useful. But converting it into electrical energy and then storing it is quite expensive. But if we think for long term use then it will be cheaper. Otherthing is that it is independent. You need not have to apply for a connection but have to purchase once from the market. It will work better in days with full sunlight, but in rainy or cloudy day it will not work. It is also pollution free. Only we need is that awareness and start using atleast one of such device and then tell to others of its benifits.

Solar power sources are less reliable and with lower efficiency than nuclear power plants or hydroelectric plants (like Dams).
For example if it is cloudy , or at night ...
Nuclear power is normally clean and secure .
Not only for a country like India it would be more expensive but probably insufficient .

Solar energy and wind energy are already in use but to a small scale only. Large scale trapping of such types will be very expensive which our govt. cant probably bear.

methods of producing energy from alternative sources are not very much refined. efficiency doesnt exceed 40 to 45 percent plus with this much small energy we need silver wires or silicon chips which are very expensive so it still will take time to use alternative sources in daily routines

alternative forms of energy are at present being explored. wind, nuclear, solar and other bio-organic sources are being tried out. the problem with most of these is that they are not viable to mass production and some of these are produced in very small quantities.
