Absolutely not! Leukemia is not spread by contact and so it has no bearing on being a nurse. The only thing you need to know is the job of a nurse is very demanding physically and emotionally. So if you are physically fine and emotionally stable to withstand the demands then go ahead and take up this job.

Nope i don't think it will prevent a person from becoming a nurse, especially if leukemia is cured. The person will probably be able to emphatize with patients more, having been one herself.

Leukemia is not contagious so you can work any field you like.
Be aware that nursing is a hard job and you may be to tired to
handle a shift or two.

I recommend you apply to your BSN and if you are able to keep
the hours as a student, you will do just fine as a staff nurse.
I'm so glad you're in remission.....

No way!

I went to college and clinicals with a girl in remission from Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. She did great, and currently working with cancer patients herself. She felt she was somehow paying it forward for those who helped her recover by helping others do the same.

Follow your dreams and lead with your heart.
