If you returned it to a store, it should be around two to three days.
Keep your reciept until it does post.
If you have the reciept and it does not post by the next billling cycle, make sure you dispute the charge with your credit card company and provide them with a COPY of your proof!
While that item is in disupte, you will not have to pay any interest on it. THe credit card company will investigate the transaction for you and intervene on your behalf with the merchant.
Most merchants wont want to screw with chase (or whomever issued your card) in an effort to keep $500.00 or whatever the price you paid was. Also, if you send something back in the mail, NEVER do the return to sender thing
always place a tracking slip on it so that you can verify that they actually got the item.
GOOD LUCK!

It should show up withing 2-3 days, but I would check with the credit card company to find out their policy.

Ten days at the VERY outside, depending on the means of return. Was it thru the mail? It'll be longer than going to a store to do it.
