Unfortunately, some men have families who think that no woman will ever be good enough for their sons. I think the best thing you can do is to continue to have a good relationship and really show your affection to your husband around his family. Don't worry so much about them...as long as the 2 of you are happy together. Either they will be nicer to you or watching you baby the son will drive them crazy...one or the other. Try your best to be polite to them, but don't let their words or actions hurt you.

It is the competition to be accepted. If you didn't get in good with them before the wedding, it's gonna be tough. I became friends with all of mine (future inlaws). Then again, everyone in my guy's family is extremely nice to me to my face and behind my back...It is good to spend time with them and be nice no matter what. I am a smart a#& by nature, so usually, I have to keep my mouth shut around his mom because I do not want to offend her (extremely religious).

Most of the time it's because they think that you are not good enough for ther son and by giving you a hard time hopefully you will give in and leave! Cause according to them, Their son deserves better thatn you!

It always happens. Just give and take. Best still avoid them if nothing is important to discuss. Stay close with your husband and children for unity.

I think that its because, to a mother her son is her pride and joy and the thought of him having another woman to spend the rest of his life with is i guess too much for them too handle....so we will in turn never be good enough for her son...and in her eyes no matter what he does;he is always and will always be right.

I also don't now i think its jealously,because u are the one that's gonna be in control of him and insecurity,especially if he is a bread winner u are in trouble.
and they won't like u even if u try to be nice to them they will always put u down say bad things about you that u don't want them.
