I would say yes because, and i know you hear this from your parents 24/7, your main priority is to focus on academic studies. I will set myself as an example, I am 18 and i have never had a boyfriend and i can proudly say that I am one of the best students at school. i mean i am still popular and i hang out, i don't lock myself up in a room to study or anything. Bottom Line is, You don't need a boyfriend to have fun.

About 25. Kidding. 18 sounds pretty reasonable to me. You might not even want a boyfriend when you are 18. It all depends on your maturity and if someone is teaching you how to be safe when you go on a date. Some girls feel that they are missing out, when they see other girls at school have a boyfriend. Don't worry you have plenty of time. Best wishes.

The best advice I can give is wait til you meet someone who really makes you want to have him as a boyfriend, in the meantime have lots of friends who you can go out with when you want, knowing that you will all look after each other and make sure you all get home safely. You don't need a boyfriend to make you whole, you just need to be self confident.

I think people are thrust into the dating thing way too early more often than not.
You do need to understand the social dynamics with the opposite sex and that is what dating is for in part.
But if 18 works for you then great.
I would say no earlier than highschool age or around 16 anyway.

Absolutely! I personally think that guys should not date until they're juniors in college. Sounds arbitrary, but one of my old teachers told me that. At the time, I thought he was kinda crazy. But I haven't dated yet, and I'm a junior in college now. I'm also a virgin and I'm trying to wait until I get married to give it up. Your rule is very reasonable. I wish everyone would at least subscribe to that rule. Then maybe there wouldn't be all these single mothers around. Good night!

In the UK an acceptable age is 14, you need to learn about relationships while they are still fairly safe.
Just don't go too far, if you wait till 18 you are in danger of being immature relationship-wise while all the boys and girls are years ahead of you.
