You are not alone. You have your dog and he is your best friend right now. You have people online that are here.
Try to think about happy times, or read a book to distract you.
Is this a matter of your parents are out of town overnight? Maybe you can call a designated relative to come get you? Or maybe just talking to someone will help you. Don't worry so much. Dont let the fear control you, you control it.

Good luck!

Having a dog is not only good company, but can alert you to noises outside too. However, you state you are now becoming scared to stay at home alone. People when they are born, they do not have fears, just needs. Fears are learned from different things that you either witness, go through yourself, heard about, etc.
If the problem of staying home with "Rover" is just getting worse instead of better, there are many doctors out there that are specialized in finding out just why you are afraid. You might not even realize yourself just why you are so afraid of being home alone. Yet through therapy you can find this out and begin to work on getting through it or dealing with it until you finally feel comfortable again. Don't let anyone tell you either that "shrinks" are for only weird people with bad problems. Those doctors have much schooling to help anyone with most any kind of problem.
Good luck to you and hopefully you can again find peace while home alone soon.

This is so not a question to be asking here. You should talk to friends or family members if you need advise on such a personal matter. If the problem is really bad, talk to a professional.
By the way, there is nothing really wrong with being afraid to be home alone, but if you are so worried to point where you don't sleep, check your doors and windows ever 5 minutes, carry around a knife, etc, then you should consider talking to some other than posting it here, especially if these are new and sudden fears and that come up for no real reason.
Good luck to you

Did something happen to you that created this fear? Any fear whether realistic or not is usually caused by an event. Do you live in an area that makes you feel unsafe? I came from a very large family and I never knew what it was like to be alone in a house until I married. My husband worked nights and I was extremely frightened. I still think thats one of the reasons I like big dogs. Are you very young or older? Sometimes fear of being alone is really a lack of self confidence. Why not take some self defense classes? Once you see you can protect yourself, you may feel better? Having a big dog helps too!!!!! Good Luck.

I don't have the foggiest idea how you can say that you're home alone when you have a wonderful warm and loving dog with you, don't worry, you dog will protect you from anyone trying to get to you to harm you. He will bark when he senses there is something amess and if need be attack the intruder if they should enter even though your alarm should go off if entry is made. You pet can sense what you're feeling and will lay down close to you to let you know that they love you and will be there for you. But I also suggest you seek professional help if there is nobody calling and harassing you or leaving implied threats on your phone. Good luck.

i dont know what your reasons for being scared are but i used to when i first moved out i was on my own with a baby and every little noise at night, i would imagine the worst, anyway how i got over it i put a poker behind the settee, and had a baseball bat upstairs in the bedroom, so i felt more prepared if anyone did break in thankfully noone has but i feel a whole lot better now though my sons older nothing bothers me in my home, if you have a dog and your scared it would be worth shelling out for guard training for it,, whatever the breed terriers and chihauhas can be trained for this too though i doubt a chihauha will scare off intruders from corgi sized up though youd have a great guard dog

This is more common than you think. Don't feel like you're the only one. Oh, wait a minute, you are the only one. That's the problem. JK. Do you have a phone in the room that you sleep in? That might help you feel connected to someone that you could call if you ever have reason. But, I think people could help you more if we knew what you are afraid of? Intruders? Ghosts? I knew a grown man who was afraid of ghosts. Would sleep at home only with the lights on.

Some neighborhoods you just can't help, but most of them you can take steps to protect yourself. The last thing a burglar wants to do is confront someone inside. Make your house always look the same. Keep certain lights on all the time whether you are home or not, or asleep or awake.

Not sure what the question is?!?!??!!?!
Get a pet alarm and then you can have the alarm on and have your pet moving around the house. Pet alarms are heat activated and as animals have a different core body temperature as us they do not set the alarm off.
