try checking youtube for fight science. They give you a pretty informative explanation to certain arts.
No one could really say who would knock who to the floor. the speed of Kung fu is indeed impressive and Bruce lee was indeed lightning fast. The problem is that Wu Shu is not particularly good power wise. A good boxer is trained to withstand a lot of punshing and all he needs is one good punch to knock someone out. But then again against a speedy adversary it's hard to get a good punch in. No one can predict the outcome of a fight as there are too many underlying factors to secure victory

Bruce Lee would absolutely destroy Tyson. Lee was just too fast for a boxer like Tyson to be very effective against. Not to mention that Tyson was only skilled in punching (although most critics will list biting as a close second).

Such a tough question...have had many previous discussions about this. If Tyson were to get a clean shot, he would win...like if they were to fight in a boxing ring where Bruce might not have enough space to move around...but Tyson and Bruce in a streetfight...i'd have to say Bruce Lee works Mike Tyson everytime.

Ok im gonna analyse this from a point of veiw i already have... I do karate and theres a lower belt in one of my classes who also does boxing...
Boxers have speed and agility and good reflexes
Karate which on top of speed and agility has Flexibility and better reflexes
add Boxing to Karate and your almost invincable (i say almost)
Bruce Lee hes fast and good on his feet
Tyson hes agile hes fast he can defend himself
but Tyson hasnt got the advantage of pure flexibilty so his speed reflexes and agility wont stand a chance against Lee's power.
Theyd work well together but Lee will still be going while Tyson would need a break by the 5th round.

I think tyson would demolish bruce lee. The freak show today that has become tyson today however would have problems fighting bruce lee's corpse and it is not far fetched to see that as his next circis act.
Tyson in his prime would demolish him because:
Most importantly tyson has a big stregth and weight advantage over bruce lee.
while bruce lee was very very well conditioned, that does not translate to raw power.
Tyson's mentality is that of a thug or killer, he would have the more appropriate and dangerous mindset for the fight.
In his prime, tyson also had this fear mystique surrounding him that caused other fighters to be intimidated. Whether or not bruce would be is anyone's guess, but facing someone bigger, stronger and possibly as quick or quicker than he is would at least lead him to fear him to some degree in my belief.
Experience, lee didn't have many doccumented fights. Tyson's are doccumented and it is easy to see his pro and amateur career. Lee by comparison had three (plus that sparring video) accounts of fights.
While lee did advocate full contact sparring, and would have at least sparred for sure, it is different when sparring for training, and sparring for a pro or amateur fight, which tyson did, the intensity is greater.
Techniques- tyson was sloppy, no question, he did have some dirty tactics but his hooks were often wide. Lee by comparison clearly had more comprehensive training and didn't train for only hands. However tyson did train only hands, as with most boxers, hands as the focus, puts them as better hands overall, lee's only hope would be legs or locks, etc. as tyson would have had better hands.
fight theory- lee would ultimately lose here- where it all comes together, lee's fight theory of the intercepting fist is inherently flawed when applied to tyson. hIs idea of stopping an incoming attack with a "counter" that prevents them from hitting you by striking the body in order to do so with a straght punch or kick is flawed against a stronger, opponent or one with more reach advantage. while it no doubt works againts someone your own size and approximate weight, how can you stop someone whose weight you can't handle.
Tyson is such a person to lee. Tyson was around 220 and 5'10. Lee around 5'7" and in the 130lbs range. almost 100lbs weight difference? In a normal situation that is a clear advantage, one that can be overcome, but a clear advantage, however against someone like tyson, who is also a professional fighter and very skilled, that is an absolutely deadly difference.
Lee's fist couldn't even keep tyson out due to the reach advantage. and his legs? once tyson got in, this would no longer be a factor- hands are quicker than legs, anyone who has ever sparred knows this as fact. Lee would be all but helpless before tyson's combos.
Lee vs. sugar ray robinson (a better pound for pound fighter than tyson) or sugar ray leanard or jake lamotta would be a much better and interesting comparison.

Bruce. I agree with the speed thing. Also Tyson in his prime was still pretty messed up in his Noggin.
