At your height and weight your Body Mass Index (BMI) which is the official way to gauge your weight is 22.9, a normal healthy adult should have a body mass index of between 25 and 30. If anything your underweight, if you're really worried you should check with your doctor.
Also I'm only 4' 11 and a size 8 and I'm a normal full grown adult - I just had short parents!!

You should have a body mass index between 18 and 25 to be considered at a healthy weight.

weight/height squared * 703

88/3844 *703= 16.1

That's not too good. If you want to have children, let alone healthy children, you absolutely have to have a BMI of 15! You are way too skinny! Gain some weight! It can only add to your health, no matter how active you are! Add roughly 500 calories more to your diet a day to gain weight at a healthy rate.

You can perform these calculations on your friend, but I am positive that she needs to gain weight as much as you do.

Hell if you are under 100 lbs, I will say you shouldn't even think about losing weight, when I was 5'5" I was 103 lbs and I was seeing my ribcage and I had only 4 percent body fat, so if you were only 5'2 and you weight 88 I pretty sure you are not fat at all. And here's a tip, don' t think about how much you weigh since weight will fluxuate, what you want to find out is how much body fat you have and find out what is healthy body fat for you.

i would be worried more about underweight than overweight. If you are athletic then its probably a normal thing. As for full grown adults, unless a doctor has told you that you are fully mature, you may have some time to go. Yes you may have reached your peak height, but some people still mature physically until they are in their mid twenties.

When in doubt ask your doctor

Are you serious? You are both underweight, and with measurements that you'd see on a typical 8 year old, do you really need us to tell you the answer? You can't be that athletic at that weight and size. Your lean body mass alone should be at least 80lb-90lb! HTH : )
