lots and lots of shaving cream make sure the razor head isnt dull, waxing does hurt some more than others and the home kits work like crap if youre gonna wax down there you should go for a professional and make sure they open new things in front of you and test the wax to see if its to hot before applying. If you continue to shave and you do get razor burn which is not pleasent down there and feels far from sexy try bikni zone or an after lotion also try this is going to sound bad but exfoliating before you do shave to help any hairs that may be ingrown ( they sell those hand glove type body mitt things that work well ). Also to avoid bumps dont cover up right after try going in the buff till everything dries

There is nothing wrong with shaving, unless you are experiencing an excessive amount of ingrown hairs. If so, I would recommend waxing. The pain isn't as bad as you imagine it to be; my advice would be to try it at least once, and then make your decision. Plus, the pain will lessen as you continue to wax (start with a regular bikini wax, not a brazilian). Make an appointment at an upscale salon, and take 2 advil 1 hour before your appointment. Make sure the esthetician steralizes the area beforehand, to prevent infection. I think waxing is a wonderful alternative to shaving because it reduces irritation, the hair doesn't grow back for 3-4 weeks, and eventually the hair will grow in thinner and lighter.

I recommend going to a professional. Shaving isn't bad if you moisturize and don't get bumps. Waxing can hurt but a professional can do it faster and neater.

its ok but you can get uti(urinary tract infection)because the hair is there to filter out germs from your anus to your vagina. also you can get ingrown hairs if you shave in the wrong direction. its best to get it waxed by a pro because she would know what and how to go about this. you can't see the whole area you are waxing, its better if a pro does it.

Why not use a gentle depilatory designed for the area?
Do not listen to anyone who says that shaving makes hair, anywhere, grow faster and thicker. It does not. And when you regularly shave an area that has a limited "terminal length" it actually tends to make it sparser!

It hurt but worth it. With shaving you could get scratched, plus you'll probably have to shave it once every 4 days. That's a lot of shaving.

get an electric shaver. its way faster and those shaving bumps do not develop. the results are about the same as a razor but less of a pain in the rear.
