Indeed, what planet DO you live on? It's not OK for ANYONE to have one night stands, or even sex before marriage. Just because some punks brag about it to other punks doesn't mean it's OK. I hate to see this kind of question, because it encourages women to be sluts. There's too much of that already. Good night!

I honestly believe that the answer is an ancient one. Years and years ago, men and women had only a few functions. Men needed to hunt and pass on their seed. Women were supposed to have babies and possibly cook the food, depending on what time period we're talking about. Anyway, men were expected to mate with as many women as possible so they could sire lots and lots of children. Women never had this function, and I think that gradually it evolved into something like what you asked about. It's expected that a man will "sow his wild oats". So when a guy sleeps with 10 women in a month, he's a total stud. When a woman does it. she's a nasty slut. It should be the same both ways. In my book, anyone who sleeps with tons of random people all the time in today's society with today's disease problems, is a slut. Double standards are bullcrap, whether they are against men or women.

Because if that man got into her pants that easy. Then most likely the man before him did also. But then agian only women look down on women the most,If a woman flirts, hangs around men or gets along with men better than women. Then in a womans eyes she's a whore, slut or trash.Think about this okay.If you have sex with someone before you get married other than the one you marry, what does that make you?

If a chick wants to have a one night stand she can. A lot of guys are accepting of that. I doubt you'll have trouble finding a willing partner. But it's true that most guys would rather not date a girl who gives it up that easy. I guess it's the hunter instinct in us. I like a girl who is a bit of a challenge. A one night stand is fun... but I probably wouldn't end up hanging around long after wards. It might be chauvinistic but it's the truth. Girl's have all the power when it comes to sex. The ball is in their court. They can get laid without even trying. For a guy we have to seduce, charm, etc. But it's not the same for a girl. I guess I would just want to have a relationship with someone who I knew respected herself more than that. There are a million and one easy girls out there who are desperate for attention, they're 'dime-a-dozen' chicks. I want the one in a million who has class, dignity, morals and who demands respect.... at least to settle down with.

I discover it unhappy that a "fling" might be inspiration of as "disposable". Naturally there are extraordinary standards for "flings" vs "marriage". But that does not always make the flings any much less severe, individual or deep! Indeed, I might say I've identified extra intensity, ardour, sharing, intimacy, surprise and plenty of different GOOD matters in "flings" than many individuals do of their marriages. Some marriages are downright dismal. Yet individuals hold enduring them. Is there whatever approximately their semi-everlasting reputation which makes them any longer "correct"? Any extra specified? I feel no longer! I daresay, considering my specifications for marriage are so difficult to discover, if I did not have the so-referred to as fling (whether or not it's for a weekend or a yr), I'd in no way recognise the fiery surprise that's intimacy! I have made recollections I will treasure and in no way will put out of your mind. I desire my fanatics can seem again on those stories with identical surprise and in addition cherish them. While I would say extra, the principal criterion for MARRIAGE is long term compatability coupled with long term making plans for lifestyles. This is extra the "marriage" criterion than intensity or love. Because it ties immediately into it weathering time. Harriet - I think you commented on anything else. I used to be competent to disagree along with your time period "disgusting" however I learned you have been addressing the belief that people who might be appropriate for a fling COULD NOT be anyone to marry. I suppose anything fully otherwise. As a ways as I'm worried.... it is that fling which BEGINS the direction that would at some point result in a lifelong love. It's maybe that very lady whose eyes into which I gazed and we mentioned "permit's proportion this this night"... probably we're going to simply hold on sharing... till at some point we in no way wish to permit it move.

It really is not ok and if women would start letting that be known then there would be less men that think that way... men often forget that it takes two to have sex and I haven't had any problem reminding men of this when they've slept with me :) :) :)

Good question, what's the answer?
Society...women who have one night stands are shown as sluts/whores/loose.
Centuries ago, women were suppose to be ladylike. Cooking, cleaning...all for their man. But the man was allowed to cheat or have many lovers as they wanted. And it is still be judge the same way in our decade. Sucks, but it is improving day by day.
So basically we can blame society for putting that judgment on us women.

Because in society women are not suposed to be open about sex, and they always have to be lady like and thats how society tells the people. But for guys it's ok because they can't get pregnant and they don't have to worry. So for the one night stand is ok.

Who says it is not for women. I mean if guys are doing then they have to be doing with women right? Don't let anyone make you feel as if there is something wrong with this.

What planet do you live on? I think this is an age issue. The older you get the more acceptable it is just don't kiss and tell.
