Hi i am 24yr old male currently having symptoms of pin pricks and itchiness all over the body. My results came back negative for HIV 3 mths ago and i had visited a neurologist just recently he took some blood test and it also showed negative for anything serious. He told me it could be anxiety but i doubt so.I have recently realise that i do have irregular sleep or sleeping disorder
and when i do get some sleep the pins are lesser like i get poke maybe once or twice a day . But when i have 4 or 5 hrs of sleep i get these pins all over the body.So my question is could this be a sleeping disorder or something else ..

Honestly, it sounds more like a circulation problem or some pinched nerves to me. The "pin pricks" are also a symptom alot of diabetic people complain of.

Visit a chiropractor to see if you need an alignment, and if that doesn't help, go to your doctor and request to be checked for diabetes and have an ABS (achial/brachial study) done to check your circulation.

Good luck!

I just read about sleep disorders and lack of sleep being linked to more suicides and depression. They suggested people getting tested for apnea and being sure the insomnia was taken seriously and adequately treated. Try to get tested for the apnea a.s.a.p. I know I feel horrible when I'm not getting enough sleep. Good luck to you and I hope you find the root of your problems so that you can get some good , restorative sleep.

When I do not get enough sleep, I feel similiar to that too! I have full blown sleeping disorder. See if you can get your family physician to prescribe either a sleeping med (ambien) or maybe even something like Xanax (it will help calm you down so you can sleep). Losing sleep is NOTHING to joke around about. It can lead to many different problems, physically & mentally!
