Lets put every human that believes that their religion is the only way to God on the moon. Let them fight each other in the name of religion.
The rest of us will stay here on a peaceful earth for the rest of our mortal lives. Most souls cross over, religion or belief has nothing to do with it.

Of course we all want peace. But even when we get rid of all the religious people (which make up most of the world's population) we'll have other, similar grounds to bicker, fight, and kill over.

You gotta consider what your perception on peace is. Peace to most people in America is to continue living this priviledged life that we are born into. Most of us do not ever think about why America is at the top and why we are "The Greatest Country in the World". Sure our values as Americans are good; we want peace and we do care for other individuals but we don't want to give our share of the bread to the rest of the world that is engulfed in social problems. To those countries, peace in America means the continuing problems in their homeland. It is simply too hard to satisfy everyone's needs. Peace in America is turning a deaf ear to the problems of the world and continuing to live and take advantage of nearly all the natural resources.

Many Communist nations outlawed religion. Atheists aren't any better at living peacefully, I'm afraid. It's greed for power that causes war, not religion. Religion is just the excuse of the day.
