Actually, there are many different French men's names-- Thierry, Luc, Philippe, Christophe, Jacques, etc. One observation in France that surprised me is that VERY FEW men are named Pierre.

definitely not ! most of the people called jean are at least 65, this is my grandfather's name ! and paul is not that current too !
there are lots of david, nicolas, and the fashionable names for babies at the moment are kyllian, tom, louis, and american names such as dylan, because people watch soaps far too much !
