I haven't read the gospel of Thomas yet and I suppose I should.
I do believe that we are all children of God without having read that gospel.

Yes.
2Pe 3:9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.

The Muslim perspective is this: God does not beget sons or daughters as begetting is an animal act reserved for the lower animal functions of sex. Metaphorically, we can all be described as the sons of God as God has created us and He provides for us, but physically He does not beget.

We are all the creation of God, His "handiwork", but not all people are "children of God". Only those who believe in God's Son Jesus Christ are qualified by Him (Jesus Christ) to be called God's Children.
The Scriptures make it quite clear:
(John 1:12-13) But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, [even] to them that believe on his name. Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.

O mankind! We created you from a single (pair) of a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes, that ye may know each other. Verily the most honoured of you in the sight of Allah is the most righteous of you. And Allah has full knowledge and is well-acquainted. (The Noble Quran, 49:13)"
Not Children,creation of Allah:)

No, but we are all "brothers". Geneticists have shown that we all are descended from one African man who lived about 60,000 years ago.

Please don't quote false gospels. Thomas is not in the bible for a reason.
No, everyone is not a child of God. Only those who are born again in Christ are children of God.
