I'm just curious as to what your take is on this issue.
So humans are failable and no matter what they do, they will sin. So if that is the case how guilty do you feel about sinning? You would pray and ask for forgivness, of course, but don't you just think, Oh well, I'm only human.
Now please do not feel that I am attacking your faith, this is something that I have really been curious about, I do not have some type of agenda or am trying to prove a point.
Thanks.

The guilt comes from knowing that you have the ability to CHOOSE to do right, yet you have chosen wrongly. It's a very good question. Some Christians believe that faith alone will keep us clean, no matter the sin we commit. So long as we believe and are truly sorry for offending God, He will forgive us. Others may be a little more demanding, and say that holy confession, communion, and prayer, in addition to a life lived avoiding the sins and temptations that throw you off the path, are the only ways to avoid eternal damnation. The human condition, theologically, is to become closer to God. Even though Jesus Christ had reconnected us with our God, through His resurrection, human beings are still expected to use their free will the proper way--by believing, worshipping, praying to, and obeying God. Very good question. No person can really answer that. For that, you need to just have faith, follow your heart and try to be the very best person you can. Hope this helps. Have a good day.

1Jo 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Rom 10:17 So then faith [cometh] by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Hbr 10:26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, there remaineth no more sacrifice for sins,

now you know what sin is. You must find out what the truh is. You have to do more than confess with you mouth.

Rev 22:7 Behold, I come quickly: blessed [is] he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

God does not expect us to change our attitudes over night. Being a Christian is a growing experience. We are all under construction. The more we walk with the Lord, the more conscious of our sin we will be. The Holy Spirit speaks to us about our sin and makes us feel guilty about it. You are correct; we are all falible, but Jesus is always there to pick us up and help us do better next time.

I'm only human so yes i do sin but less each day and to be honest more on others. I don't take it lightly. I pray daily that God forgive me for me sins against Him and I pray that He will help me overcome the areas that I fail Him.
I think that I am in trouble if I consciously sin and just shrug my shoulders at it. Once I received Christ as my savior I was filled with His spirit but at the same time I still had the old me and all my old ways to deal with and let me tell ya it ain't easy. But my relationship with God is worth...

As a human I know I'll make mistakes and I know some of them will be a sin, the best I can do is to keep my eyes wide open to avoid them, but if I sin and I'll be sorry for it I make sure sorriness is real and not a fake, like that I'll feel better with my self and with God.

Honestly, no, I never try to excuse my sin, because I know the bible too well. I know I have a sin nature, and I also know that in that moment when I am thinking of sinning, I have a choice and most of the time do it anyway. Paul, the great apostle, said it best: "the good I would do, I do not, the evil I would not do, I do". The compulsion to sin, to follow one's fleshly desires, is incredible. I am grateful that God is ever forgiving. But no, I don't try to justify the things I do; I know better.

Although there are some people who claim to be Christians, but they are wanna-be Christians. These are the ones who attend church, and the family dresses up in their Sunday best cloths. While they are inside and the sermon is going on, the mother is so busy diciplining her kids and telling them not to get their nice cloths dirty, meanwhile, she sees her friend across the room and has to wave at her, and then comes the money dish, and the husband is digging in his pocket to find a little left over change to put in the money dish, even though they are wealthy enough for much more, the sermon keeps going on, and neither are really listening because they both have their minds on the big potluck lunch and gossip that takes place AFTER church. Does this sound familiar? These are the Christians who sin and don't care.

Real born again Christians will not be in a place like this. They have a one track mind. Being born again means you do not repeat your old sins and bad way of life, but instead you follow Jesus. Born again Christians admit that they are sinners, and stumble once in a while and get bad feelings of conviction every time. You will not find these kinds of Christians in bars or casino's, as this is sin, or at any other kinds of functions where alcohol, drugs or gambling is the main factor. You will also not find them at heavy metal concerts and such either. Usually they are at a Bible study or with groups of other Christians doing things that are beneficial to their beliefs. Some don't even attend a church, but instead stay at home with other believers and read scripture, sing songs and have their own praise to God. Most have jobs and do this after work or on weekends.

We keep on trying to do our best.
Giving up and not trying to do the right thing is a worse sin because you can't lie to yourself by saying everybody is doing the same thing. You can't fool God and you won't attempt to change for the better.

God's way is the best way. There are other ways but they all have negative consequences not the least of which is separation from God and accepting what you know is not right.

You call the guilty of sinning, conviction of the holy spirit. Being human one is going to sin but must repent quickly. TRying to prove your point has been solved.

You get the other way wrong. It is not the way to do sin and relex at "oh I am only human" manner. Only when we do things we think good, we are not proud on it or count on it. because all human " good things" are never reach enough level of the sight of God. meaning - so we must be humble. even good things doing could not counted, don't even talk about doing bad things (sin). meaning- we must try hard with all our hearts and souls not to do bad things .
