It's hilarious for me because my cat did a similar thing, just haven't found out how he got up to the attic I never knew I had until he showed me. Although it was creepy at first hearing odd noises above you in a one story home and a pain in the rear to get him down apparently he's not too afraid to jump up but too afraid to jump in my arms.

I think it is cute, but I would also make sure that you don't have any critters up there. I don't know why your cat would want up there. Just a suggestion. All cats have their own quirks. Mine lays on my husbands stomach in the middle of the night and taps him on the head until he wakes up. It's really cute, but I can't get a picture because if I get out of bed he'll move (The cat, my husband can sleep through a freaking hurricane)

Cats love to hide and find cozy places to get away from everything. My cats have torn holes in the bottom of the box springs on the beds. Its definately cute and normal.

Sure I would say this is very normal for a cat. 1. They always like a hiding spot. 2. Could be hunting for mice.
