As a rule, sinus headaches don't cause nausea. Your mention of the aversion to the smell of food makes me wonder if you are actually having a migraine headache. Migraines are characterized by pain on only one side of the head/face, sensitivity to light, sound, and/or smell. They usually go away with sleep; being in a cool, dim, quiet room helps most migraine sufferers.
Sinus headaches, on the other hand, usually hurt on both sides of the face, mostly around the eyes. They are helped by warmth, and not necessarily helped by sleep. Most sinus headaches respond well to a combination of acetominophen (aka Tylenol) and Sudafed.
If you think you are dealing with migraines, you may be able to take Imitrex; it's a prescription medication that helps at least some migraine sufferers. Contact your doctor for an appointment to get a prescription; it's not cheap, but it beats the heck out of a migraine!

Oh yes! A sinus headache can indeed make you feel sick to your stomach...a migraine headache will do the same. For me the only thing that helped was going to bed and and having a lemon lime soda to sip on over ice. I had to lie in one position. It was like I was seasick. I found out that a weather front moving in could trigger it or eating too much salt upset the balance of things. Whatever caused it I was thankful when it passed. I did take a over the counter headache pill. I hope you get relief. The best to you in 2007.

yes it can.. you can here ringing in your ears, effected vision problems, nausea, iritablity, sounds and smells and light can effect you negatively.. Sometimes you feel like you have the flu..
I feel for you.. I get migraines 2 or 3 days before my menstral cycles start.. Some are so bad, I can do nothing but curl up in bed for a day...
Please go to a doctor. There are medicines to help ease the pain a bit...

Yes!
You need to see the dr. to get antibiotics if it is an infection. Migraine headaches also make you feel nauseated and ultra sensitive to light and smells.

Sounds more like a migraine to me. Are you sure it's a sinus headache? You should go to a GP, who will probably tell you to visit an ENT specialist.

If it is making you nauseated and light headed it sounds more like a sinus infection. See your doc and get this checke out.

I believe that any type of headache, if bad enough, can cause nausea. Many migraines cause stomach aches too. I would see a dr. if this continues because it could be an infection in your sinuses.
