I love them. They're delicious. Chock-full of exoskeletal crunchy-crunch-crunch goodness. I just wish they weren't so small. It takes so many to make a meal. Sometimes if i'm feeling lazy I eat crab or lobster and just pretend that they're super large insects. It makes me cry a little inside.

I live in NZ and I eat huhu grubs, when I can find them. When I worked in Aussie, I ate wichety grubs. I visited Bangkok once, and bought some bugs in the market that looked like cockroaches They weren't; nobody eats cockroaches). They tasted fine. I worked in Zimbabwe and ate flying ants and locusts. In Mexico they eat ant eggs, which they call Mexican caviare. Eating insects is OK.

People have just come to think that eating other things is just weird! But hey, I don't find anything wrong with it! I wouldn't personally eat bugs!

It's just not part of our culture.
BTW, the black ants taste like lemon and the red ones taste like pine needles. (Or is it the other way around? I can't remember.)
Fluffy's answer is hilarious!
