The problems for the baby of a "late" pregnancy are generally evident at birth or shortly thereafter - things like Down Syndrome. If you haven't had any problems, by now, I'd say you're not going to, other than the problems we ALL have through the process of living.

You might want to watch for diabetes. That can sometimes happen with adult children of an older mother. Was your dad older too? Older dads can sometimes account for autism. If you're hyper et cetera, maybe you should look into the possibility of Asperger's Syndrome, which is on the autism spectrum. There's no cure, but it can explain some behaviors, and you could get help dealing with it.

Why on earth would you waste mental energy worrying about that? If you are normal now, any problems that might pop up in the future would not be caused by your mother's age when you were born.

What? The possibility of developing various medical problems increases with age. Take good care of yourself to limit the possibilities. If you already spoke to your doctor why on earth you ask people who dont have MD behind their name?

if you were to have problems, that would have been detected when you were in her uterus or when you were born. it is too late for that now. you are 21 and i don't believe you can develop anything caused by her giving birth late. whatever you developed now, will not be because of your mom giving birth at an older age.

I had my first at 37 and my second at 39. I was told I was to old to have children but they are good and healthy. I don't think you'll develope anything after 23 years healthy. :)

You're totally normal. Relax. If you were going to have problems, they would have been apparent at birth or a very young age.

I think you are going to be just fine. Women are waiting until their 40's now to have children, so don't worry about it.
