It depends on where your experience lies. A lot of moms do the ebay thing. I was able to provide a supplemental income as a legal transcriptionist.
You can look through different online ventures, but I can't imagine many are legit. Always double check at the BBB or Rip-Off Report online.
Other ideas:
Growing and selling plants/flowers.
Creating and selling crafts
Babysitting a friend's child
Working an alternate shift than your spouse/partner.
Cleaning homes/businesses
Asking your former/current employer for telecommuting opportunities.
Good luck

I know a lot of women are in your shoes. However, stay away from add's that promise you a triple fourtune. They are all misleading you. I speak from experience, cause most of them promise you stuff, but never stick up to the fact.
What I hear some women do is like open up a franchise store in there home, without or very little capital. They find baby clothing on the internet, like ebay or ubid. And than sell it that way.
Others are involved with Mary Kay cosmetic stuff or others are involved with Avon. Perhaps that's something you would like.
If all fails, go with American Communication network called acn
there website is
www.acn.net
you could be a independent representative there. Good luck. Hope this helps you.

I personally started with a direct sales company called Sensaria which I've found to be a lot of fun because it seems to be something I love plus I love the products and haven't found anyone that doesn't which is a BIG plus. It can make as much money as your willing to work for. You decide you income with a business like that. If you ever feel like chatting give me an e-mail or send me an IM...I know sometimes us SAHM can get a little stircrazy!

My mother in law stayed home with all 5 of her children, and is still at home today. I always though that this was not for me, but then I had to stay with her for a couple of months during that last trimester ecasue I needed help and I found out that she crochets baby things and sells them on ebay....
It's something that she has done from home for a while and soemthing she also taught me to do while I was there with her. you could do something like this. sellign crafts ro somehting on an ebay site or even your own.

I became a licensed daycare provider and brought in an excellent income for many years...I have a FRIEND WHO SELLS SOY CANDLES FROM HOME...BUT i THINK THERE IS MORE TO IT THAN THAT..LIKE SHE MAKES MONEY RECRUITING PEOPLE TO SELL candles...I really think that is kind of a scam and pyramid scheme.
