There is quite a few reasons this can be happening. I know so much how you feel! Mine is from rheumatoid arthritis. When I go into doctors they always blame it on this.....I am told not to go without shoes, I went out and bought slippers/moccasins. I am on the lookout for the high top moccasins, there real comfy.
Diabetes can be another, pinched nerve, the shoes you wear. Many reasons.
Please go to the doctor and get checked out for your own benefit!

This could be caused from something going on in your spine. You should talk to a doctor of neurology to find out since you know this is not normal. It can get worse, and the nerves that are pinched can become permanently damaged if something is not done to relieve the pressure.

I had the same problem for a few years in my toes. then I began to feel in my feet too, which scared me and I began to look for a cure.
I do believe in Homeo Pathy natural cure.
I consulted a doctor.
she gave me Ambra Grescea in 200 strength...this was in liquid form. I took it three days...2 drops in little water and it is 7 months I have so much life in my feet..
I will highly recommend it...go to any Homeopathy store, use it and you will love it..it has no side effects..good Luck

Are you diabetic? Sounds like a nerve problem, possibly circulation - if your feet are blue or cold- I would see your doc asap, please, - ms is a possibility too - don't mess with this........Whatever it is, will get worse without treatment - and if you step on something and not know it - you could get an infection - don't mean to scare you - it could be anything - but it needs to be taken care of NOW!!!!

What you're experiencing is called a peripheral neuropathy, and there are many possible reasons for it, but you should see a doctor, preferably a neurologist about it to have it treated.

I'm with The Doc. Make an appointment first thing in the morning, and make sure it's understood what your symptoms are.
Take care of yourself.

I would definitely see a doctor. If it is only at night it could be restless leg syndrome or it could be something way more serious.
