I have guy best friends and i can tell them my deepest,darkest secrets.I have heard that it's not true to have guy best friends and later on your probably going to be together or get married. Is that true?

No every relationship is different though many people believe a man and woman can never be just friends. It completely on how both of you view your friendship and how honest you are with each on it.

No way it's not necessarily true. In high school I had more guy friends than girlfriends. It seemed much easier to make friends with guys for me. Of course there's those guys who are friends with you for sex. I did have guy friends that I could confide in and joke with etc. I'm sure there are many situations where a couple of friends could turn into more and possibly get married someday. But hey why not? If you can tell him anything especially your deepest darkest secrets then that's a first step right there. I didn't marry any of those guys that I was friends with in high school so I'm not proof that it does happen. Everyone's situation is different. If you develop romantic feelings for him, I wouldn't hold back on telling him. No sense in keeping that deep secret from him :)

well im 40 know and well all my life i have had guys as best friends. I did not marry any of them i married a complete stranger.3 days after we met he asked me to marry him i said yes one year later we were married i was 20. to this day one of those male friends of mine is still the friend i had when i was a teenager the feelings are the same. In my case he turned out to be gay. But i still would not of married him even if he wasnt. the love i have for my husband is different. It is called chemistry.

you can have a best friend that is a guy-the problem comes in when one of you start to feel more than just frienship-one person always gets hurt like that, but as long as neither of you start to have deeper feelings then you can be friends forever. and if you get married it is the best relationship you'll have-i married my guy best friend of 13 years. i;ve never been happier. i also had friends in high school that were considered my best friends that were guys.

Not true. Guys are actually sometimes better than girl friends, because sometimes they see things differently than a girl would. All because you're friends it doesn't mean your going to end up together or something like that, it just means your friends. That's it.

yes of course u can me and Andy are best friends we tell and share everythign with each other as well (but we r just friends). I don't rele think that's true that u can't just b friends with them I mean I"m sure it happens a lot but not always for example my Mom and her best friend Charlie aren't married and they have been best friends since they where in 4th grade.
