What do you think about the air force EOD do you think they are trained better then any other eod in the?
miltary, and do you think they are reconized enough in iraq and afganistan and everywhere else that they do there work for what they do on a regular bacis?

air force, marines, navy, and army EOD undergo the same basic training, the biggest only major diff is in the difference to devices that they are trained to handle. personally i would have the give the edge to navy/marine EOD due to the fact that they deal with more IED's on a daily basis than the USAF and ARMY combined.

Okay I'm gonna be alittle biased here because of the guys I've worked with. Navy has the best EOD due to the fact that they deal with the explosives on the land and underwater. Gotta love watching that water plum when they blow something up.

Air Force EOD personnel are trained to handle explosives and situations involving bombs. They practically have the same training as other units handling EOD functions.

EOD falls under special operations and the core training of defusing and disposing ordinance is ran by the army and primarily the navy. EOD is a strong mix of fresh soldiers and veterans. And no, no soldier is given enough recognition for their duties.

USAF and everyone in it is a HUGE asset to this country. You have no clue what the USAF is capable of.

honestly when i think of EOD i think Navy or Marines, since the air force as a rule does not stray far from base.. and their bases are usually far from the action (since planes cost so much)
