NOPE, it doesnt stop. it just keeps racking up... weekly. those children dont stop eating, needing a place to live, medical attention, etc while he is in there.
so basically, he will have to pay child support when he gets out, plus arrears amount (usually an extra $20 or so per week).

Even in Jail, the ex will OWE for child support (although the amount may be lowered while he is incarcerated). It will keep adding up, and if he has no property or any other way of paying for the support, then it will accumulate as an arrearage (with associated interest applied to the outstanding balance).

NO as a SOcial Worker I can tell you that the child support continues to accrue, they begin to look at property and other ways of getting the money. THe required amount will be reduced while in custody but it IS NOT SUSPENDED

different things in different states, tn. you go to jail it keeps adding up.plus you pay 50$ a day for being there.i know someone going threw that crap now,

it does in ny but just goes into arrears they will have to pay back support as well as current when they get out.
