My girlfriend for 4 years got online and said she was looking for another guy so I broke up with her but she was crying and saying she was just mad at me and she realized what a mistake she made but this isnt the first time....so she says that now she really understands and how sorry she is I think she really means it, but I dont know how to believe her, can someone give me some advice?

you need to move on, if after 4 years she can do this and
has done this before, she will do again. trust me. if she is mad
at you then you talk to each other you dont play with some one
feeling, that just wrong. and the only reason she is sorry is that
she got caught.

Sometimes after being together that long, girls can look for something to spice up their life. If she is feeling bored or what ever she might be just looking for someone to make her feel wanted. That isn't an EXCUSE, just a reason, the IMPORTANT thing is that she doesn't act on it. You have to ask yourself hard questions, do you love her? do you believe her? do you trust her? Would you be able to trust her again, and also If you DID go back with her you better set some boundaries, in my opinion I think that if a girl does that the guy has a right to be "checking up" on her online activity. I started chatting with some one online and my boyfriend and I had been together four years. He was hurt, I understood why and I quit using the computer for a long time after we decided to work things out. (and I am a computer-holic) but my point being that it ISNT acceptable, and OBVIOUSLY there is something she isn't being completely honest with you about. That is what you first need to find out. If something is "broke" and she doesn't tell you what it is, how are you supposed to fix it? And if you can't answer yes to those questions then let a dead dog lie if you know what I mean.

The way you describe her,she sounds like a very immature person. Would you really want to spend the rest of your life with this type of person? You should be with the one who will love and respect you at the same time. You're probably a real nice guy, there's got to be a girl out there who really deserves you. Do what you think is best for you, it's not about being selfish. You're the only one who can really decide whether you want to live a happy life or be stuck in such "dramas". 4 years is nothing compare to what's ahead of you.
(She's looking because she's probably not happy or doesn't know what she really wants. If she's not sure after 4 years, there's something wrong. And please don't waste another 4 years).

What she did was wrong. She is obviously tired of the relationship. As soon as she finds another guy, she'll cheat on you or leave you and why shouldn't she? You said girlfriend of 4 years with no commitment. You're not married to her. Do you have her in a house or taking care of all her needs? She thinks that she can do whatever she wants. And she will do it but behind your back. These kinds of relationships don't last very long. Marriage is better. A girl can feel much more secure.

Well, you have to forgive her because holding anger only takes away from your life.
However, whether or not the relationship is worth continuing depends on a lot more factors than what we know here. Age could be a determining factor here.......lifestyle........
Four years is a long time. Are you really in love or just use to having each other around? Do you have constant battles or do the good times outway the bad? Have you both had plenty of relationships to be sure this is one you want?
Ask yourself questions along these lines and see what you tell yourself!

Give her one more chance,but not for a long time,i mean totally be aware of what she is doing,you know honey cheaters can't help cheating !! when she doesn't respect herself how can you expect to do the same to you?we she cheated it means at a time she wasn't thinking of you,and if she wasn't thinking of you it means she doesn't love you enough.

When we get mad we do stupid things that sometimes we don't really want to do them. It looks like she is really sorry, give her another chance, don't trow 4 years to waste. Give her a last chance.

If you really like her give her a second chance and forguet about that.But if you think you are not going to forguet about that and you might bring it up many others times then its better to break up and live each other alone.

You said it yourself....this isn't the first time. She's developing a pattern...I'd walk away, at least for a while, and make sure she proves herself before you give her another chance to use you, disrespect you, and take advantage of your goodness.

go out have a good time, bang a few broads or something get it out of your system and then go back to her, oh wait thats prolly what she should do, dammit!! Don't listen to me take her back what the hell she said shes sorry. Think of the make up sex, damn thats worth it just to get back even for a little bit.
