Life has no such answers as there are no guarantees. You can pick another answer for what they can give you in feelings, but the truth is that people lie and deceive all the time. Also, people may change their minds in a second when some one different or better (in their eyes) comes a long.
Take your chances and avoid getting too serious until you feel comfortable that he has a close a knit with you as you with him.
