Treatment Of Jock Itch
For mild cases of jock itch, you may use anti-fungal creams, powders or ointments. If the problem does not resolve in two weeks, your doctor may prescribe oral anti-fungals. Sometimes, lot of scratching may cause secondary bacterial infections. Your doctor will prescribe you medication for that.

Sometimes over-washing or using the wrong soap does this. You will get basically very dry skin at night and then later during the day, you get a bit sweaty in the groin area so that part will get itchy and a little red. There's different types of these minor skin ailments and you treat with stuff like Blue Star ointment (it's for the crotch and feet-very safe) or other topical skin creams. I use the same types of creams that you use when you have itchy feet and works really well. Might want to check with a dermatologist first, however.

I can relate completely! I keep getting rashes as well. I've considered all the great answers here in the last week (i.e. soap, laundry detergent and softner, elastic, etc). But really all of that is the same for me. I had been however, taking "enzymes" for a couple of weeks prior, so now I quit, hoping that this is the problem. This is day 6 without though and and I'm still having the problem. I have heard though that many medications / vitamins can have this effect. So I guess I'm going to wait it out and use something to stop the itch. Sounds nasty, huh?

Itchy groin (with regular baths and cleaning of that area) is probably due to an allergy or sensitivity to the elastic band of some undergarments. Some are allergic to the fancy laces or maybe the rubber band itself of the undergarments. Others maybe due to dryness or too much moisture ( which could be due to sweating). Hypoallergenic talcum powder will do the trick. If it's too dry, it would say the vit.A & D ( vandol ointment) also does some relief....if not better have it check by some expert dermatologist...There's probably a growing fungal infection in that area.

Jock itch???
Jock itch, also known as tinea cruris, is a fungal infection of the skin in the groin. The warm, moist environment is the perfect place for the fungus to grow. Anything that enhances that environment puts the person at risk of getting jock itch. Therefore, wearing sweaty, wet clothing in the summer time or wearing several layers of clothing in the wintertime causes an increased incidence of jock itch. Men are affected more often than women.

Could be the soap you are using. Do you use bubble bath? This can cause yeast infections which can cause itching. If it continues see a dermatologist.

I once read athlete's foot can spread to the hands, the scalp (and if so can cause baldness), armpits and.... groin.
As suggested, if it is of concern to you and is not something just temporary, I would try seek out a dermatologist. Thankfully you should be able to do this cheaply/free via NHS if you live in UK. GL.
